Introduction:
The database is the storage where all the organizational data are stored. In order to
retrieve the data from the storage and inserting the data into the storage, a system is required.
This system is called database management system (Nidzwetzki & Guting, 2016). Various
database management systems are present at the market. The ACCESS is the Microsoft Product
which supports various operations on the data.
Within the study, the database management system of proposed organization has been
discussed along with various issues. The ERD or Entity Relationship Diagram is the way of
representing the database in visual format. The proposed ERD has been done using generic rule.
Justification of the Use of Database:
Database management includes gathering and controlling information that is produced by
an organization/association. Information can be acquired through gather data through deals,
showcasing as well as organization site. While grouping an organization database, allows first
consider what may be incorporated into customer records (Gouhar, 2017). On an exceptionally
fundamental level, organizations would need to store the names, surname, sexual orientation and
critically these days; the email address. Organizations rely upon data for different reasons.
Principally the initial step is realizing what data it is you need to gather. Choosing how to gather
it is another issue (Yunus et al., 2017). To recover customer information, it should be possible

The proposed database will provide the below advantages to the selected organization.

IT Controls Needed:
Integrity Controls: It will reject the invalid data inputs. This control will prevent the
unauthorized outputs of data. It will also protect the data. This control will function against the
malicious and accidental tampering.
Input Controls: The input control stops the system from allowing erroneous or invalid
data into the system.
Value limit control: This control is responsible for checking numeric input of data for
ensuring data accuracy.
Completeness control: This control makes sure that inputted data are complete and asper
organization policy (Arulraj & Pavlo, 2017).
Data validation control: This control validates that the data is supported by the DBMS
configurations.
Transaction logging: A methodology through which any modification to the DBMS is
logged with this kind of audit data as input data, user ID, time, date, and kind of modification
(Coronel & Morris, 2016).
Ethical, privacy and security issues:
Various organizations collect unnecessary and repeated user data which results in ethical
issues. The organization will never collect the data from the user illegally. The database
administrator will have entire power over the system. Database Administrator may collect the

information of the users unauthorized way. The administrator may alter few of the to favor a
person or vice versa.
Privacy is one of the biggest ethical issues in database management system. Recent cases
of data misuses by renowned organizations has proven that data in internet is never secure.
Governments are using social media organizations and other enterprises to collect public data
(Abbasi, Sarker & Chiang, 2016). Various organizations sell the user data to other companies for
making extra profit.
Security is the biggest issues in database management. The data is the heart of the
business. The database system holds the crucial and sensitive information regarding the business.
The systems can be attacked by various threats. The database system can also be attacked by the
insiders.
Conclusion:
From the above study it can be concluded that the database is one of the biggest assets of
an organization. The proposed database for the selected organization will have great impact on
the business processes. The efficient and accurate data processing will enhance the quality of
business.
