The database system is comprised of five parts. They
include:
• Software (Operating system, application programs and
DBMS Software)
• Hardware
• People and Procedures (Groomer and Murthy 2018)
• Data

Real-world Applications
• The database systems are primarily used in engineering
functions such as Computer-aided design (CAD)
• They are also implemented within social networking
applications (Xu et al. 2015)
• These systems also support audio or video multimedia
• They are also involved in different API operations
