Introduction
Overview
Data com offers management, consulting along with cloud services in New Zealand. It also
provides services related to software development along with that of business process
management. The inauguration of the company was in the year 1965 but currently it has
expanded in different countries like Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines
(Datacom.co.nz., 2018) It employs around 4880 people in different offices in the global
arena. The vision of the company was in providing IT service to the clients who wanted
automation. Those companies who did not want to take the risk along within that of the
market took recourse to Datacom. The mission of the organization revolved around providing
cost effective IT service.
Objectives of this project
The objective of this business proposal is to analyse the effect of organizational
communication on Data Com. The second objective is to analyse the effectiveness of
organisational leadership on the company. The third objective is the analysis of
organisational culture of Data Com and the manner it affects the morale of the employees of
the organization.
Scope of Research
The purpose of the research is to gather information about the communication, leadership and
culture of Data Com.

of the employees. Data com has a diverse workforce and cross-cultural communication is
strategically important for the company. It wants to carry on global business and it enables
people from various cultures to deliver effective performance within the organization. It helps
the employees of Data Com in understanding people who have different kinds of business
custom (Bolden, 2016). The leaders of Data Com understand the importance of a multi-

cultural team and how it can help in boosting the performance of the employees of Data Com.
The cross-cultural communication is greatly facilitated with the help of meetings and
discussions that take place in the organization.
Leadership
The Leadership of Data com bears evidence of that of transformational leadership. The
transformational leadership of Data Com work for the benefit of the team along with the
entire organization that helps them in setting an example in front of the subordinates of the
organization. The transformational leaders of Data Com works with the subordinates so that
they can identify the needed change within the organization by the help of creation of a
strong vision (Al Saifi, 2015). The leaders act like a role model for the employees of the
organization which can help in inspiring the employees. The leaders understand the strengths
along with weaknesses of the employees and the leaders in Data Com wants to align the
followers with the tasks that can help in augmenting the employee performance.
Organisational Culture
The innovative culture of Data Com helps in providing a flexible workplace to the employees
where they can express their opinions freely. Creative thinking along with collaboration helps
in encouraging the employees of Data Com (Atouba & Lammers, 2018). An innovative
organization rewards the employees that can help in improving the performance of the
employees of an organization. Collective capacity of people in relation to Data Com can help
in the creation of value (Anitha & Begum, 2016). The innovative culture can help the
employees in reaching the mission of Data Com and imagination and empathy are
encouraged within the organisational culture. The strong organizational culture of Data Com
has been created by encouraging the employees to perform the job with a great deal of

Data and Research methods
The two kinds of data collection method are that of primary and secondary. The primary data
is collected at the source and it is not subject to any kind of processing or that of
manipulation. The secondary data incudes different the unpublished data like books,
magazines and newspapers. In this case, the data is collected by someone who is not the
user.The Data collection method is primary and with the help of an interview with the
employees of Data Com information was gathered in relation to organisational
communication, leadership and culture (Wong, Cheung & Wu, 2015). An interview helped
in revealing important information about Data Com. Personal interviews with the different
employees of Data Com and questions were asked face-to-face that helped in revealing
relevant information pertaining to the organizational communication, leadership and that of
culture. The questions were pre-determined and the high technique of recording served to
store the responses of the employees.
Qualitative research refers to exploratory research. It can be made use of for understanding
the underlying reasons and opinions of the people. It can help in providing insight into that of
a particular problem and it can help in the developing of hypothesis. It can help in uncovering
trends and delve deep into a particular problem. The quantitative research helps in the aspect
of quantification of the problem by the generation of numerical data which can be changed
into that of usable statistics. It can be made use of for quantifying the attitudes and opinions
and it helps in generalizing the results from that of a large sample population. Qualitative
research method has been made use of in this research proposal and the interviews
undertaken with the employees of Data Com helped in revealing important information about
