Langley Child Development Centre is known for its day care services, the non-profit
organization offers services to children regarding developmental services. The organization
was only concentrated in USA but with improved expertise and control, is planning to expand
to areas with greater concern. They formulated the plan of expanding their operational
activities in Afghanistan with the available and adaptive resources. The market opportunity
was recognized with the identification of problem in regards with the placement of the target
segment. Afghanistan and other gulf countries have a wide presence of Air Force families
with the detachment from opportunities and convenience. The company aimed at solving the
identified issue.
The factor which can help the company with another market opportunity is the change
in technological factors. Technology can transform the service offerings of the organization.
The implementation of virtual recreational and educational classrooms can eliminate the
boundaries and expand the service offerings to various new markets. Technological factors
can align the main purpose of the non-profit organization with the operational activities. The
knowledge about the nutritional diet, necessary educational materials and children
involvement programs can be designed to expand the reach in unsuitable conditions (Dixson
et al., 2017). This will allow the company to cover a large number of markets/region without
the concern of unavailability of teachers/professionals. It will be designed in a kid-friendly
manner with the concept of service dominated product. Each rural or unsuitable areas will be
provided with audio or video tutorials with enough ‘gap’ of practice (Sharkins et al., 2016).
The factors of technological advancement can be used as a response for increasing concern of
child day care in areas with minimum opportunities.
