Strengths
The strength of Langley Air force child day care centre is that it is very good option for
working parents. Particularly the people who are working in the Airforce army have to stay away
from their homes for many reasons. Thus hey take help of this day care center for their children.
The parents might have a major issue regarding the upbringing and the bearing of the children.
However it becomes of these daycare centers that these working and busy parents have been
capable of carrying on with their work properly (Slot et al., 2015). More emphasis will be given
on the physical development of the children rather than on their educational needs. However it
must be noted in this context that the owner of the childcare centre also gets a huge opportunity
for shaping the future of the children in a highly disciplined and organised manner.
Weakness
The weakness is that as it is a Langley Air force child day care centre of the air force
they will be giving emphasis majorly on the physical developments of the children. This will
make the children highly proficient in terms of sports and the other physical activities rather than
on the academics aspect (Henderson et al., 2015). This might make the students lose their
concentration over the academics aspect. Too much exposure to physical activities might make
them less associated with studies. Apart from this the children might often be affected by some
kinds of diseases like headache, muscle sprain and others.

trainers and others such as collaborations. Langley Air force child day care centre can
collaborate with the West coast childcare resource day care center in order to get some good
ideas and resources.
Threat
The threat is mainly due to the entrance of the new firms into the industry. There are a
large number of organisations that are offering child care opportunities. In particular the in
house childcare offering agencies will be gaining huge importance (Bassok et al., 2016). This is
because people opting for the in house child care services will be able to keep their child within
their houses along with the attendants.
The aspect that the military child day care centres might emphasize mainly on physical
activities is likely to have an adverse impact on the health of the child. This has to be noticed in
this context that all the children are not capable of taking up massive exposure within a single
day. If they are made to undertake acuities like running, jogging, swimming for long hours, there
is a chance that they might fall ill. Thus the day care centre has to take strategies that will
provide equal importance towards the sports, physical activities and the academics at the same
time. This might have a bad impact and the customer acquisition will get hampered. The
initiative of conducting the parents’ education system is most urgent and is likely to have a
good impact on strategic planning of the Langley Air force child day care centre (Langley
Air Force Base Russ Child Development Center. 2019). This is because of the fact that that the
parents will also be given some lessons regarding the welfare of their children. The collaboration
with the doctors and the nutritionists will also be very useful for the strategic planning of the

organisation because the parents will be assured regarding the health of their children even in
their absence.
The company has to make sure that they are being able to deal with the threats while
doing their strategic planning. They have to make sure that the no harm is being caused to the
children. If the staffs are irresponsible in taking proper care of the children there is a chance that
the children might play with some unsafe objects like knifes or scissors and harm themselves.
The Langley Child care center has to make sure that they are training their staffs in a proper way
so that the children do not suffer any mental, social or physical abuses. Special safety measures
are to be taken so that the parents can be assured about their child’s safety in their absence.
