Introduction
The main aim of this study is to increase the development of business strategy that
will no doubt improve the resource capitalisation and resources stratification based on the
long run growth objective of the DBS Company in Singapore. In order to indulge
sustainability within the financial sectors, the improvement in the business portfolio is
important. Through the development of VRIO analysis, the DBS Company will be able to
identify their future opportunities to invest. Not only this, the mission and vision of the
company will indulge in the improvement in the business decisions making process.
a) Introduction of portfolio
The critical analysis of internal and external strength of the company DBS will
definitely help in the identification process of improvement in the business strategies that will
not only increase the improvement in the business productivity but will also indulge in the
innovation.
Internal strengths
The DBS Company is having strong community of dealers and both the dealers and
distributors are belonging in competitive environment (Chang, 2016). Most of the
dealers and distributors are not only investing to increase the production of the

Through the use of intensive product design, the company is mainly focusing on the
development of product innovation. Bringing new financial services is helping the
DBS Company in improving their position in the financial market of Singapore.
The company has also brought in new revenue systems that is highly beneficial to
incorporate minimisation of risks in the financial cycle.
External strengths
Apart from the development in the internal strength, the DBS Company is having high

In spite of having high growth and potentiality, the company failed to counter the
negativity of new entrants in the market. This has forced the company to loose market
shares a bit.
The company is having low range of financial services that are being sold in the
market. The company is having lack of choices for the customers.
The company is having problems in shifting into new financial services and even the
company is having problems even in the present cultures.
After the development of deep analysis, the DBS Company is having high potentiality in
the long run. The Company is going to analyse the business strategy that will not only include
the development of business. DBS Company is mainly highlighting the importance of
business innovation and they are bringing the development of new financial services so that
they are going to increase the development of market share (Dbs.com.sg, 2019) In order to
increase the development of new financial services, the company is mainly looking to
minimise the gaps in the investment. However, the company is looking to increase the
development of investment opportunity. The company is mainly looking to bring more
amount of new financial services that will increase their market shares. Through the
development of extensive investment the company is going to increase the position in the
