Question 1:
The research shows that half of the decisions made at the organization get failed. There are
several reasons of decision failure. The major reason of the decision incompatibility is the
manager inefficiency in identifying the area of concern and complexity of the problem. The
manager is not able to present his creative ideas for formulating the business plan and
operational inefficiency (Nutt, 2013). The decision taken is not aligned with the strategic goal
of the organization. The differences in the communication plan between a top executive and
the subordinates will create a scenario of decision failure. The availability of minimum
resource will increases the chance of conflict and chaos among the participant member. The
limited budget of the project makes incompatible for the project manager to take effective
decision for the betterment of the company. The failure of the decision occurs due to the
problems occurring in identifying the critical activities of the process model which results
into the delay of the project. The project manager does not have a clear perspective view
about the organization strength and weaknesses. I am not surprised with the failure of
decision because the effectiveness of the decision depends on the creative skills of the
manager.
Question 2:
The rational decision making model is the logical sequencing of the steps and procedures
which helps in achieving and accomplishing of the target. Yes, I have used the rational
decision making model for organizing a quiz competition at college level. The opportunity
was provided to me to arrange a quiz competition in the college campus (Blenko, Mankins,
Rogers, 2010). I take suggestion from my fellow members to make effective development of
the quiz competition planning from designing of the question to the seating arrangement of
the students and staff members. The selection of the best alternative is the most crucial part of
the process because the success and failure of the project depends on the selection process.
The rational development process model helps in arranging the propaganda for the Quiz
competition in the effective manner. The implementation of the quiz competition can be
successfully drawn by following the guidelines of the rational decision model (Heracleous,
2012). The logical plan of the quiz program is developed with the assimilative ideas of the
team members. The creative approach is indulge in the designing of the questions for the
quiz.

Question 3
The key issues which exist with the deployment of building, operating and maintaining the
management information system are categorised as
Cost investment challenge: The performance of the employees get improved with the
effective deployment of management information system because it helps in managing on
time delivery of the resources according to the requirement raised by the employees. The
extra funding is required for the initialization of the management information system in the
business platform
Strategic Management plan issue :The accomplishment of the strategic planning aligning
with the organization goal depends on the management process laid down for accomplishing
the business goal.
Globalization Issues: The development of the digital platform for the working of the
environment raises the concern to undertake the request and response driven by the external
parties in relation to the functional of the organization operation plan to meet their
requirement (Watson, Kelly, and Galliers, 2011).
Digital Infrastructure Issues: The development of the digital platform requires the
transformation in the organization infrastructure by setting out networking of computer to
manage centralised system of information sharing.
Employees issues: The employees put restriction to omit the use of management information
system because it requires new training and development program to cope with the new
digital platform of the organization (UK Essays, 2015). It can affect the expertise of the
working employees and diminishing the productivity.
