Introduction
Cruise tourism is defined as the type of tourism
which is luxurious in nature. It basically involves
the holiday on a cruise ship. It has a minimum
time duration of 48 hours with specific itinerary in
which the ship calls at different ports and cities. It
is considered as the fast growing areas of tourism
sector.
Destinations/ activities/ sub-types
There are different destinations which is served by
various cruise organizations. Such as Avignon in
France, Bora Bora, Glacier Bay in Alaska, Vienna in Austria,
Singapore, Kirkwall in Scotland and Flam in Norway. These are
the seven top cruise destinations reviewed by several customers.
Other popular destinations are Asia, Australia, Bahamas,
Bermuda, Canada, Caribbean, Europe and Hawaii. These are the
famous destinations where most of the customers and
organizations chooses for a trip. There are different activities
which is conducted by the host of the cruise for the customers
and makes their journey memorable. Some of the popular
activities are extreme water slides, speedy ziplines, rock
climbing walls, sky course ropes challenge, at sea ice skating and
flow rider surfing simulation. Other activities includes Rip Cord
by iFLY skydiving simulation, Go-karting on deck, Formula One
simulator, Broadway shows, Disney Magic Play Floor, Carnival's
Sky Ride, Cirque Dreams and dinner, Mind-blown planetarium
and The Rising Tide Bar. There are several sub types of cruise
tourism which entertains and attract the customers. Ocean
voyages is a sub type which is a one way passage from one point
to other crossing the major body of water. Standard cruises is an
open water cruise. It is a one way or round trip with assorted
ports of call. River or canal cruise are associated with the culture
and heritage of a nation which is being toured. Destination or
expedition cruises are dependent upon the destinations to be
visited as per the demands. Day cruises are having the experience
of 15 hours or less. Contemporary cruise has a resort style
facilities with ship board activities. Speciality cruises are having
the adventure style cruise which focuses on the education and off
ship activities.

It is concluded that cruise tourism is an interesting
concept within the travel and tourism sector. It is
contributed in the growth of economy and society in
several ways. Therefore, in order to have the in depth
knowledge about the cruise tourism, this poster covers

Trailfinders Premium Travel and Cruise and Go Russia Travel
Company. Small based organizations are Mundy Cruising,
Trafalgar Travel UK, Celebrity Cruises UK, Trailfinders Canary
Wharf and Topdeck Travel. Other organizations are Scenic UK,
Bolsover Cruise Club, Touchdown Holidays, Cruise Holidays UK,
Trailfinders London Conduit Street and many more. Other top
organizations other than UK based across the world are Carnival
Corporation & PLC, Disney Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, NCL Corporation, and
Royal Caribbean International. Other medium and small based organizations in
the market are AIDA Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Cunard Line, Marella Cruises
and Saga Cruises. These are the organizations who are relevant in providing the
cruise services to the travellers. They provides services to the customer which
benefits them. Such as in terms of cost savings and safety along with the
convenience and fun.
