INTRODUCTION
Deep learning is a concept of high order thinking in which an individual makes attempt to
understand a topic by building a relationship between new and old knowledge simultaneously
(Chen and et.al., 2014). This concept is used to re-construct knowledge and is based on primary
knowledge. The main aim of this report is to analyse the article of deep learning in order to build
insightful understanding about this concept. In this report, concept of deep learning is discussed
thoroughly along with identifying its importance for foundation year students. Ways to develop
deep learning are also articulated along with drawing conclusions for these ways.
MAIN BODY
(a). Discussing the concept of deep learning and identifying its importance for the foundation
year student
Concept of deep learning:
Deep learning is a procedure of human gaining certain types of knowledge by the way of
data science. In this process, an individual collects all its information and store it using artificial
intelligence. Once all the data is stored it is further analysed using statistics and predictive
modelling. By this way, large amount of data is processed faster and easier. This analysis has
variety of levels which increases the complexity of information so that conclusions can be made.
This process of deep learning involves various steps. The first step is to understand problem due
to which learning is required to be done. After identification, relevant data needs to be collected
for the resolution of that problem so that analysis can be further initiated. In third step of this
procedure, an algorithm is selected and used so that large amount of data can be processed.
Lastly, tests are conducted so that a conclusion can be made for the resolution of identified
problem (Entwistle and Ramsden, 2015).
This process of deep learning requires training to structure data. There are various
techniques or methods which can make deep learning easier. These methods are transfer
learning, in which a pre existing network of data is used. And Training learning, in which
collected data from scratch is mould by a new network.

created theory can be reliable. Main aim of deep learning is to resolve the problems and draw

processing information by which various evidences can be gathered which can further be used to
provide strong conclusion along with evidences of algorithms. It is important for foundation year
students to use deep learning as it can support their conclusions and provide them evidence.
