A critical reflection of your learning experience
The learning experience has been very effective to record my experiences, feelings and reactions
during the learning experiences that I have gone through in the past 4 weeks. I have been going
through several papers that have presented ideas about the effect of planning and establishing a plant
project to move further with. However there are very few papers presented on how delay in payment
can affect the construction projects as well. Moreover, this paper relates to ambitious projects like
high rise buildings. This kind of projects associate numerous people as project managers, project
directors, stakeholders and team members who worked for the project. This list also includes a
contractor and subcontractor who supply materials to the organisation for proceeding with the
seamless advancement of the project. The paper clearly describes and makes me realise that delay in
payment is one of the major risks that people do not foresee while planning a project. I believe that in
this contacts I should add this fact that I have learnt from the paper review, which is the pre planning
of the project budget and payment process. I believe that when a person is planning the project budget
they should also plan when and how they should be paying the people involved with the project, the
contractor and subcontractor. Other than that I also believe through this paper review that there
should be a unified policy stated for all the three aspects of payment and they should be we shared
with the employees working for the project, the contractor and subcontractor. If both the parties agree
only then I believe that the project should be preceded with so that all the parties are clear about how
the payment would be done and in which way. I believe that it is also the responsibility of the project
directors and the project managers that the documentation of the policy is maintained and every point
mentioned in the policy is effectively profound.
