Workplace transformation is the strategy of reconsidering of flexible working
environment in order to accommodate diverse kinds of work and technologies. Now a day,
corporate offices are adopting the change and meeting the evolving working strategies in order to
accomplish their goals and objectives. The major external event which has transformed the
workplace is covid 19 pandemic. By this, any of the organisation has transformed their places
and using of evolving technologies and process (Aroles and et. al., 2021). The organisation
chosen within this report is Deloitte. It is the multinational professional service network which is
working in over 150 countries. It was founded in the year 1845. the report includes a research
aim and objectives, research questions, PMP (project management plan), literature review.
Further, it includes data analysis and findings and research methodology.
Project aim and objectives
Aim: “To analyse the impact of major external event in transformation of business
environment”. A study on Deloitte.
Objectives:
To determine the significant of the term transformation at workplace.
To analyse the outcome of Covid 19 as an external event in the transformational of
business environment of Deloitte.
To examine the issues faced at a time of using strategies within working environment of
Deloitte.
Project management plan
Scope : The scope of present study is that workplace transformation is the development
of organisation process and the techniques. It is the process of creating growth
opportunities for the employees and to organisational as well. So, that is why the scope of
this project is broad (Baumgartner, Hartl and Hess, 2021).
Cost : The cost is related with the amount spend on conducting this research. The cost
comes is $1000. it is useful in getting information through primary and secondary sources
of data.

Quality : The quality is maintained by the researcher, researcher is conducting primary
research by collecting data through respondents. So, this will helps in getting quality of
data and information and presenting true information in front of audience.
Resources : The resources helps used within this investigation is books and articles,
stationary, respondents and time in order to get true and correct information and complete
it in shorter time period.
Communication : The communication is done through two different methods. These are
verbal and non verbal communication (de Lucas Ancillo, del Val Núñez and Gavrila,
2021). Researcher is using both of the methods to get effectively communicate with the
respondents.
Time : The time associated with this research is about 11 weeks. There is a use of Gantt
chart and WBS in order to complete this research in a shorter time period. Further, these
will helps in achieving project aim and objective in efficient manner.
Risk : The risk related with the particular research is lack of getting true and reliable
information, lack of time management and lack of financial resources. So, these will be
overcome by conducting secondary research because it involves less cost and if primary
research dose not provide proper information, then secondary research will help in that.
Milestone: There are different activities that helps in conducting current project in
effective manner (Englmaier and Falck, 2020). These are introduction, aim and
objectives, literature review, research methodology etc. There are two main milestones of
current research such as literature review and research methodology.
Project initiation, planning and execution: This is important part of the research
because it helps researcher in planning of the time of completing each activity of the
research in effective manner.
Gantt chart: Gantt chart is a bar type chart which depends on the relationship among
various activities and current schedule (Lee and Oh, 2021). It includes vertical and horizontal
axis on which carts are to made within the digits mentioned in both of the axis.

From the views of Meske and Junglas (2021) In today's working environment, workplace
transformation is regarded as the very hot topic. Which is looking better to support employees
and their performance. It is regard as the new normal and creating new opportunities in order to
handle productivity, security and manageability concerns. Within the occurrence of covid 19
pandemic, many of the organisation has changes their workplace technologies and process and
shifted towards digital workplace. It is supporting remote developers and creating opportunities
for them. Further, now a days, for becoming a productive place, company needs to work on the
digital transformation and provide their employees a flexible working hours. Also, company
should provide more training related to the new technologies coming in the organisation.
To analyse the outcome of covid 19 as an external event in the transformational of business
environment of Deloitte.
According to Meske (2019) It is said that workplace transformational is creating a
positive and negative impact on the Deloitte working environment. The external major event is
covid 19 which has helped in enhancing the productivity and profitability of the organisation.
Due to this, company has transformed digitally and they are working for 24/7 hours for the
customers. Further, by this many of the employees have given remote work which could helps
them in providing flexibility to their employees. But on the other hand, covid 19 pandemic is
impacting Deloitte in negative way as well. As many of the employees did not be able to
communicate effectively with the managers and they sometimes face difficulty in using of the
latest technologies. So, this needs proper training session related to the technologies used by
employees. Further, there are sometimes data and security issues which has impacted the
employees performance and it reduces analysis of the poor performer.

According to Mingaleva and Shironina (2021), Some of the issue faced by Deloitte
company, is that data and security issues, as company has become digitally, so they have to keep
secure customers payments, details and the products they are buying. As many of the hackers
searching for customer data, so it becomes difficult for the organisation to keep secure all the
data of customers and this becomes an issues for them. Further, employees can are working

This increased their expenses and resulting in decreasing of the profits. The other issues is

Research methodology
Research methodology: Research methodology is the process used to identify, analyses and
examine the information about a specific topic. It helps in achieving overall aim and objectives
of the given research and provide valid information. This consist of two significant method these
are qualitative and quantitative method. Qualitative method deals with meaning and words which
brings non numerical information. On the next hand, quantitative method includes numbers and
statistics which brings numerical information. In this research, investigator is using quantitative
method because it helps in collecting statistical data and findings and resulting in achieving valid
information (Obi and Oloye, 2021). Also, questionnaire survey is used to get true and reliable
information regarding the impact of major external event in transformation of business
environment.
Data collection method : Information is gathered from two diverse methods that are primary
and secondary. Primary data mainly involves cost and provide first hand data about a topic. It
includes graphs and charts. The other secondary method includes published research, and
newspaper articles etc. in order to conduct this investigation, both methods of data collection are
useful. In order to gather primary information questionnaire survey is used by researcher because
its helps in presenting data through tables and charts (Qiu, 2021). Further, for gathering
secondary information, there are several sources that are selected by a researcher such as books,
articles etc. Therefore, both primary and secondary research are important in collecting valid
information regarding the impact of major external event in transformation of business
environment.
Sampling : Within this 30 employees of Deliotte are selected randomly. In this probability
random sampling is used because it provides equal opportunity to every respondent to be
selected in sample for a research.
Data analysis
Within this research, quantitative data is collected by an investigator via questionnaire and
for analysing this, frequency distribution analysis tool is used by researcher. For this, Ms-excel is
