GIBBS REFLECTIVE CYCLE
This model have cyclical reflection towards any experience (Gopee and Galloway, 2017).
This model consist of six stage which represent the experience towards description, feeling,
evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action plan. This model was first developed by Graham
Gibbs in 1998 which is known Gibbs reflective cycle (Ballantyne 2020). This help to learn the
various experience which is based on plan and strategies. This model cover six stages to show
the experience towards any work or module. In addition to this given case study, dementia is
common disease now day which is develop due to various factor which is stated and cover in
part one of the case study. So, this model cover about total experience which is adopted and
learn during this case study.
Description
As per this, I used to learn various knowledge and skill while studying and analysing this
case study. Dementia is an set of disease which is collective and elaborate about various
symptom which is associated with cognitive decline such as forgetting thing and understanding
various disease which related with brain disorder (Cerone 2021). In addition, the defined case
study I personally observe that dementia is not a single disease but it have collection of disease.
In general these symptom of impairment in memory, communication and various thinking
process. In addition to this, I gain an knowledge about several act which allow the service user to

select their treatment and taking own decision. Now, this rights is based on mental capacity act
2005, human rights 1998 and dementia challenges 2020.
Feelings:
While going through this case study, I feel various emotion and thinking which is based
on Mr. and Mrs. Kohli. She is facing several issue because of their health condition. She suffered
from dementia and Alzheimer and number of complication. Her husband taking care of her in
every aspect this provide and thinking of he loved is wife and even in such a worst condition he
taking her personal care. In addition to this, person when they both get separated from each other
then they must use the right which elaborate the specific act like mental capacity act 2005 and
human right act 1998 (Corpuz and et. al., 2019). As per this, they provide an authority for their
decision to taking treatment.
Evaluation
As per the analysis of case study, there is bad and good experience which I evaluate. The
good experience which is received from this case is Mr. Kohli used to taking personal care of her
wife and provide him everything as she want. After she was facing an another issue of fracture
he want to stay with her wife and used to take care. The bad experience which observe in this
case study in the separation which is faced by due to social worker and the listed act.
Analysis
In this case study, it is essential in my perception to take an action against the social
worker which making rule of separation in both of them. As per this, by using mental capacity
act and human rights act they used to take back her wife for care from the service provider. In
any case of dementia social worker have does not any authority which provide and right to
separate some one from one another. In this case, patient have authority to take decision for their
treatment and have also right to choose someone for their personal care.
Conclusion
As per the above discussion, dementia is collective disease which formulate number of
problem which is related with brain disorder (Sethares and et. al., 2017). In this, patient is
usually not able to remind all the thing for long and forget various of talk and behaviour which
they used to do. Case study is relatively associated with this and part one elaborate the condition

of this and second part is about a patient authority for their treatment. This act also provide to
choose their process and other dimension which is based on private life and others.
Action plan
The action plan for this case study is understanding the brief concept of dementia and
way to eradicate this. With relation of thinking this is retaliate by taking personal care which
done by Mr. Kohli for their wife. While facing the separation. Mr. Kohli have rights to take back
her personal care and if Mrs. Kohli facing issue with treatment then she have also right to change
their treatment pattern. So, they have various action with mental capacity act 2005, human right
