LITERATURE REVIEW
Literature review is described as chapter that covers defined questions of the
investigation so that main motive could be attained and established. It uses secondary sources
like books, articles, journals, publications, newspapers etc.
What are the different types of leadership used in ASDA?
According to Mansouri, Singh and Khan (2018), leadership style is defined as the
behaviours and methods when managing, directing and motivating others. The leadership style of
person identifies how they implement and strategize plans while considering well-being of the
team and expectations of stakeholders. It is quite critical because it could help in determining
positive impact over organisation. There are three leadership styles that are mainly used by
ASDA that are: democratic leadership, autocratic leadership and transformational leadership.
Democratic leadership is used because in this leaders make decision as per the input of team
members. Autocratic leadership is considered in ASDA in some cases when there is no
requirement to involve lower level employees in decision making. Transformational leadership is
also used in the workplace in which they set specific tasks in the particular time and constantly
work to move from comfort zone.
What is the role of democratic leadership on conflict management within ASDA?
According to Zaabi, Singh and Ajmal (2017), democratic leadership is defined as
leadership in which leaders make decision according to the input of every team member. It is one
of the effective leaderships because it helps lower level employees towards exercising authority
they would require to use wisely in future positions. In ASDA, there are many roles that are
played by democratic leadership on conflict management by considering each and every
employee in the decision making process. Employees are given equal chance so that they could
participate in the different activities and tasks of the company. Therefore, democratic leadership
is significant in managing conflict and increasing business performance.
What is the impact of democratic leadership on conflict management within ASDA?
According to Mansara (2019), democratic leadership is the leadership the considers each
and every employee in every activity and task of ASDA. The impact of democratic leadership on
conflict management within ASDA is positive because it helps in understanding the requirements
and needs of employees in such a manner so that they could be encouraged in the workplace.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is referred as the chapter that considers significant methodologies
for collecting and analysing information so that objectives could be attained. The different types
of methodologies that would use in the present dissertation are explained below:
Research Approach: Deductive approach will be selected by investigator because it
helps in evaluating and examining numeric information in systematic manner. It is the great
approach because it does not take longer time duration in evaluating information (Babii, 2020).
Research Strategy: Survey will be selected by investigator because it would help in
gathering numeric data in effective and efficient manner. In this questionnaire would be formed.
Research Choice: Quantitative and qualitative are two kinds of research choice.
Quantitative research choice will select so that numeric information could be gathered.
Sampling: Sampling is described as the methodology that assists in selecting particular
number of samples from the given large population. Probability and non-probability are two
parts types of sampling (Bairagi and Munot, 2019). Probability sampling would be selected and
20 managers will be chosen by researcher.
Data Collection: Data collection is described as the methodology used for gathering
information. Primary and secondary data collection are two types that will use in the achieving
objectives of the dissertation (Mishra and Alok, 2017). Primary will use so that raw information
about leadership could be taken out. For this questionnaire will be formed and secondary
information will be collected by existing data by books, journals, articles, publications etc.
Gantt chart: Gantt chart is defined as the time schedule that assists in scheduling each
activity and task in such manner so that objectives could be easily achieved and attained. It
divides activities and tasks with the appropriate time duration (Sharon and Dori, 2017).
