“To determine the influence of demotivation over the employee’s performance within the
organisation”
A research refers to the process of evaluating an information by investigation over the
issues or topic of concern by gathering information from several sources in order determine the
actual cause behind that particular issue so that appropriate recommendations can be provided
for eliminating or resolving it (Quinlan and et. al., 2019). Increasing demotivation among the
employees is the major concern of each organisation and in order to study over it effectively and
determining its influence over employee’s performance can be identified by using adequate
research method like research onion. This consists of several tools and techniques like Research
philosophy, approach, research design and research choice which support in deciding the kind of
data and pattern in which data must gathered and presented. In addition to this it also includes
data source through which information be gathered, time horizon and budget i.e. period and fund
assigned for performing investigation, strategy for gathering information along with ethics to be
follow while conducting investigation. Apart from this it also represents the sampling technique
to be adopted, limitation of research and manner in which the reliability or validity of research be
determined. In addition to this, another two methods like Qualitative research methods and
quantitative research methods can be used for conducting investigation in appropriate manner
where the qualitative research method make use of theoretical framework in order to gather the
information in detailed manner and performing in depth evaluation that help in making the reader
understand the issue effectively (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault, 2015). Despite of this quantitative
investigation will support in performing investigation of demotivational of employees and is
influence over performance by gathering the numerical fact and figure regarding its impact over
performance for setting up a clear understanding and accuracy of these facts.
There are several issues that I have found while investigating over the “To determine the
influence of demotivation over the employee’s performance within the organisation”. The major
issue is that respondents are not ready to clearly represent the influence they found after getting
dissatisfied about the working environment as they are worried that their identity get disclosed.
On the other side, another issue arises related with the ethics are related with secondary data
evaluation (Sekaran and Bougie, 2016). This is because it contains the old data but if it is applied
to the study and not relevant to present context that it affects the reliability as well as validity of

the investigation which results into unethical practices. For this I have decided to gather
information from the sources which are current and being published as well as review by
authorised people effectively.
The research onion method selected for performing this investigation is more appropriate
as it consists of several layers which represent tools and techniques that must be used to gather,
evaluate and interpret the information in effective manner (Drake, Rancilio and Stafford, 2017).
This support an investigator to perform investigation in effective manner by directing in right
pathway to be adopted for performing research. On the other side the qualitative method of
investigation allows the investigator in performing a detailed investigation so that appropriate
findings can be presented in detailed manner and supporting the study with pre studied concepts
or theories to make it clear that help in concluding answer in effective manner. But on other side
the major drawback of using qualitative study is that it is time consuming process and the data is
presented in detailed manner which sometimes make it difficult for analysing the data and
concluding appropriate result (Walliman, 2017). Despite of quantitative method of investigation
help in presenting the data without any sort of bias behaviour as data is presented in numerical
facts which ensures the accuracy of information. But the drawback of using quantitative data is
that it is not easy to understand by the reader who doesn’t have understanding regarding
statistical techniques.
I have performed a detailed investigation over the type of methods that can be adopted in
order to investigate data in more efficient manner so that desire outcome can be extracted out of
the validity and reliability of information. In addition to this I have also investigated about the
several ethical issues that may be faced while performing investigation so that these things can
be taken into consideration while performing study. This also support in determining the ethical
practices which are required to be consider while performing investigation in order to perform
ethical research which ensures appropriate reliability and validity about the study (Smith, 2015).
Hence, these are attribute which can be presented in front of the research consultancy regarding
the topic of study which is related with demotivation of employees and its influence over their
performance. This support in presenting the accuracy and reliability of study which will be
consider while performing the project so that the correct information is to presented with the help
of study. Despite of all this, I also make use of methods such as research onion which help me in
performing the investigation in more appropriate manner by ensuring that there must be used of

several tools and techniques allows in following the professional codes and practices to perform
the investigation which results into accomplishment of research aims and objectives. Despite of
this it also supports me in performing the investigation within systematic manner i.e. by
considering a systematic flow of investigation by ensuring the use of tools and techniques in
sequential manner as are represented within each layer of research onion method. Hence, these
all practices support me in performing the study in appropriate manner while considering the
professional practices that must be adopted by a researcher and help in informing future research
consultancy project (Rubin and Babbie, 2016). This is because I make use of current and reliable
information which support the future researcher to make use of my investigation o make their
study more effective by considering the information presented by me as a base to understand the
nature of study.
