INTRODUCTION
Dental images are the radiographic image taken by the use of x- ray machine at different
levels. This present report will majorly focus on ways of checking the imaging equipment is
ready for use or not. In addition to this, Concern regarding dental imaging will be also discussed
under the same. Furthermore, items that interfere the radiographic image will also be covered in
detail.
TASK 1
1. Correct way of checking the imaging equipment is ready for use and how often it should be
checked
There are certain equipments which are used for dental purpose and these equipments are
x- ray machines, CBCT or 3D imaging system. These are used to check the internal aspects of
the teeth. These equipments are weather completely functioning or not will be checked by
Inspection of tube housing will help in knowing that weather it is functioning properly or not
(Okusu and et.al., 2018). Other than this, leakage measurement will also help In checking the
equipment by placing the same to the suspected location. And this machine should be checked at
least once in the period of three years. So that it can be determined that weather the machine is
perfectly working or not.
2. Four items that interfere the radiographic image
It is really important to have good radiographic equipment to perform the test properly.
There are certain barriers that interfere in image like lead shields results in performing and thus
the same can not be able to perform proper functioning (Abushab, Ajerami and Suleiman, 2018).
Many a time, the detail tooth picture is not been evaluated to the reason of improper positioning
of the equipment. There are other items also like camera problem or lenses issue also interfere in
taking proper image through the equipments. So for the same dentist must take proper steps and
do the job more properly.
3. Concern regarding dental imaging
Parents are concern about the dental imaging of their children due to the radiation that are
their in the x-ray. This is because children teeth change due to the growing age and thus the same
can have a bad impact on the child's mouth. In addition to this, pregnant womens are also

concerned about the dental imaging because the radiation can have bad impact on child. Dentist
take all the precaution for the pregnant womens so that it can harm minimum to the lady.
CONCLUSION
From the above task it has been summarised that imaging equipments should be checked
on regular intervals of time as it will help in giving proper results. In addition to this, It is more
safe to have digital x-ray because they are more safe and more correct. Other than this, dentist
should perform duties properly like checking of equipments in regular interval of times.
