To whom it may concern,
My name is () and presently I am pursuing my postgraduate degree from Australia. Our
family tradition does allow couples living together until they are married and therefore cannot
enjoy the benefit of sharing properties. Therefore, during the term break, I went to India to
get married. I would thereby like to apply for a dependent visa for my husband for travelling
and staying in Australia. My partner and I met at a friend’s birthday party and introduced by a
common friend. We then started talking, exchanged number and regularly stayed in touch
through messages, Face book and phone calls.
We had a courtship of couple of years after dating for a while. My partner had been part of
my struggling days and provided me with both financial and emotional support. Staying
around with him will act as an emotional support and in dealing with household chores. He
could do the dishes while I remain in charge of the vacuum cleaning. Besides, when it came
to grocery shopping we could do together thereby deciding on the items to be bought for the
upcoming week. We would also be able to take care of each other’s pet dogs and take turns in
walking them out. Sometimes if time permitted we can also go out together spending some
quality time. Therefore, instead of maintaining a long distance relationship staying together
with my spouse will provide a mental support in accomplishing my endeavour.
We got married due to the love and commitment to be together, and thereby make little
contributions to make each other happy. Once, I complete my studies both of us have plans of

settling in India as our family stays there. Being a Masters in Laboratory Medicine I have
ample job opportunities in clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, facilities for public health and
commercial clinical laboratories in India. I also have job opportunities in pharmaceutical and
forensic laboratories and in industrial research. We also plan to start a family at the
appropriate time.
Certain other things I would like to mention. Staying together will also enable in sharing the
financial responsibilities from not only the rent but also the grocery and the utility bills. This
will also help us in organizing our finances accordingly and deciding the size of the
apartment and its location.
I therefore wish to stay with him until the completion of my master’s degree. Therefore, I am
enclosing my application for dependent visa so that we can stay together. This will not also
provide me with the benefits mentioned above but will render me with a piece of mind. I
hope that you will be kind enough to understand the situation and grant him the needful. This
is also to make sure that I possess complete financial capabilities and will not be a burden on
the Australian system.
I intend to follow my student visa conditions once granted.
