Introduction
According to Carney, R. M., Freedland, Steinmeyer, Rubin & Rich, (2018), more than three
million people across the world live with a disorder known as depression. Most of these victims
are adults of nineteen years and above. Many people do not understand the meaning of
depression. However, despite certain percentage understanding the issue, there are still many
victims who do not accept that they suffer from depression. The denial comes despite showing
several signs and symptoms about depression. For example, in the year 2014, more than sixteen
million grownups in the United States of America were suffering from depression based on the
report that was published. One of the evident factor in this report was that the victims suffered
from different types of depression which they could understand. Many of the victims were going
through a serious divorce period, fired from their dream job or had lost their loved ones. The
goal of this research is to give the meaning of depression from multiple dimensions so that the
readers and mostly victims can understand.
