INTRODUCTION
Academic misconduct is defined as a practice that is undertaken in an attempt to have unfair
academic advantage. It is essential to avoid academic misconduct such as plagiarism as it is
unethical form of cheating. Present report has been conducted to develop an online, interactive
and self directed game that offers students with an opportunity to effectively recognize and avoid
plagiarism.
Task 1 Design a game for students that develops strategies for avoiding
plagiarism and academic misconduct.
It has been identified that plagiarism is most commonly academic misconduct practice which is
essential for students to avoid. Thus, in order to make students understand and learn about
academic miscount and plagiarism various factors has been analysed in order to develop a game,
GAP: Gaming Against Plagiarism grant. Main purpose behind developing this game is to
formulate a self directed, online and interactive game that will effectively aid students to learn,
recognize and avoid academic misconduct and plagiarism practices. The main feature associated
with this game is that, it will help students to avoid unethical academic misconduct practices and
plagiarism.

Goal: Evaluate the different types of plagiarism and organize them correctly into categories

Description:
With uncontrollable plagiarism on campus, graduate students will be assigned to provide
assist with cases in Research Ethics Office. It is a fast-paced arcade game involved
players will effectively review cases and them characterize plagiarism time and them file
them as per according to the miscount type.
In this players will start in Training model and them went to Arcade mode. Similar to
“Diner Dash” Frenetic Filing is a race adjacent to the clock to get as many cases
processed as possible before time runs out.
In this game players will get to earn in-game upgrades such as sneakers and coffer in
order to make improvement in reviewing and filing cases speed.

It has been identified that gaming is turning out to be one of the most essential part in
college life that only enhances student’s interests towards learning but it also facilitates effective
social discussion. It is important for students to ensure that, they did not engage in academic
misconduct practices and plagiarism. Thus, this game is being developed that have some

Experiential Learning – It is one of the most important features of this game, in which students
have opportunity to measure the experience of -world decision making practice.
Problem-based Learning – This is an effective form of skills set which is offered to students
through this game. In this students can develop problem based learning with the help of
hierarchical problem solving scenarios.
Immediate Feedback – It is one of the most prominent features of this game in which students
have significant opportunity to maximize their persistence in problem solving.
Problem Solving in Complex Systems – GAP will offer an opportunity to students through
which they can solve complex plagiarism.
Social Relationships – It is one of the most important and beneficial skill for students which is
being developed through this game. It is also one of the most effective features of GAP. It will
help students to understand cultural perceptions of plagiarism that will be effectively integrated
into the scenario.

Prioritization Among Competing Objectives – According to this feature in GAP, there is
alternative choices that further lead to shifting game outcomes as well as game scenarios.

The game is related to avoiding academic misconduct and plagiarism in this student is
must to have basis understanding of the concept of academic misconduct and plagiarism.
The game involves three different sets of instructions which are further elaborated in
different ways to deal with rules.
The game is developed with different sessions in which it is essential for facilitator to
give feedback on student performance.

An explanation of why academic integrity at University is so important
At University academic integrity plays most important role and is fundamental aspect of reason,
learning and teaching. It is an ethical practice that allows students to conduct their learning in an
ethical manner. Furthermore, it has been determined that academic integrity facilitates students
as well as staff to effectively build creative works, ideas and knowledge while effectively
acknowledging and respective others work. With the help of learning and having proper
understanding of academic learning students can undertake responsibility for learning in a ethical
way and can further conduct learning process wit trust, honesty, courage, responsibility, respect
and fairness.
A summary of your reflection on the skills used to produce the game.
According to my experience reflection I have undertaken advantage of number of skills in
order to produce the game; some of the skills include strategic thinking, problem solving,

decision-making and interpretative analysis. All these skills effectively helped to produce
strategies for the game. This game will significantly employs active learning thus with the help
of my effective skills game is being produced in an effective manner that provides students with
the opportunity for flexible learning. This game is effectively designed with collaboratively
designed and further tested and evaluated with the help of multi-disciplinary iterative
development process with the help of recognized experts in academic integrity, graduate science,
educational digital media production, intellectual property rights and gaming production. In
addition to this, with the use of my skills I have developed a framework that will significantly
focus upon learning and allows students to take advantage of meaningful and immediate
feedbacks.
CONCLUSION
As per the above mentioned analysis it has been conduced that academic integrity and plagiarism
plays most important role at university level. It is essential for students to have proper learning of
these aspects in order to conduct their learning in an effective manner.
