1. Title
The title of the project is Design and Implementation of an Internal Corporate Web Portal
for SettleInOz.
2. Background
Gianna, Luca and Rosa are three friends who want to set up a not-for-profit organisation
that is solely dedicated to help immigrants and refugees to feel comfortable and mix with the
Australian communities and lifestyle. They have planned several services that do not have any
aim towards generating revenue and they are trying to grow the organisation. The benefit of the
growth is that in the future, viewing their success, many organisations from the corporate sectors
will sponsor them financially and the need for annual internal funding will be reduced. One of
the proposed service requirements for their business includes the development of internal
corporate web portal through which they can provide service details and interaction services to
their potential customers i.e. the immigrants.
3. Scope Overview
The scope of this particular project mainly includes the development of a business web
portal that will be controlled by the organisation. Additionally, the new and old customers can
create their own profiles in the portal for interacting with the organisation and also avail their
services. The scope will further increase to add more features in the portal in the near future
when more funding is available.

4. Business Case
This project is for a non-profit organisation and will not look to generate any revenue.
However, any long-term profit and sustainable business requires sufficient funding to run
properly. Hence, the Gianna, Luca and Rosa have decided to grow the organisation with some
investment so that it will be backed and sponsored by bigger organisations within a few years.
As a part of the plan, a business web portal will be developed. This web portal can be utilized to
perform various operations as well as connect with the potential customers. Based on the
requirements for this project, a work breakdown structure is shown as follows.

For the purpose of the project, it has been assumed that the proposed development of the
