AI Summary
This individual assignment report for MGMT20140 explores the student's key learning from a design thinking workshop. The student created a visualization, specifically a poster, to represent their understanding of the design mindset, drawing upon concepts learned in the workshop, such as poster making for effective communication of complex topics. The report details the poster's design, including the use of images, messages, and symbols, and explains how the visualization helped solidify the student's understanding of design thinking principles. The student reflects on how design thinking has influenced their decision-making, self-awareness, and approach to problem-solving. The report also includes references to academic literature supporting the student's insights into visualization and the design mindset, emphasizing the importance of learning by doing and the value of visualization techniques such as poster making for conveying complex ideas. The student concludes that visualization is helpful in providing knowledge about something, such as product or services.

Visualization
During week-2 workshop, I learnt about poster making in an activity, it was good for
deep understanding of different concepts. Main objective of poster is giving a message to people
about a concept with some key notes. I learnt that a good poster has a best message for the
viewer. Second thing is title and headers of the poster, which are helping to viewer for better
understating about the concept. There are so many things, which make a poster more attractive,
such as page layout, sequencing, visual aids, fonts, and many more (Dorst, 2011).
Posters are a way to explaining the concepts about a topic and provide a better
understating about the concept. I chose poster making for explaining about learning and my mind
set from design thinking workshop. It was best experience of my life, and I used these
experiences in decision-making and other project management activities. Design Thinking
(referred as DT) is not a process in which learn something through lectures and notes. It is a
process, in which learn by doing, such as real life experience (Brown & Wyatt, 2010).
I make a poster in which many things are combining from complete workshop, in that
poster; I used images for understanding design thinking. I used some messages, which are about
learning by doing. I learnt so many things when I make that poster. I used my learning, which
are from workshop module and make it innovative and attractive for understating the concept. It
is so difficult task for me but I do it with the help of my experiences of poster activity from the
design it workshop (Drucker, 2014). That poster has shown a message to people for learning
from your mistakes. They make a person smarter and stronger. All those messages are for my
group members as well as for other people also. I was influenced from poster making activity
and it was beneficial for different things in my social and professional life (Liedtka, Ogilvie, &
Brozenske, 2014).
I learnt about self-awareness form that workshop and I am changed after that workshop.
Now I do self-assessment and find out my strengths and weaknesses. After that, I work out on
them and improve them for long benefits. Poster making is a good part of visualization, it plays
key role in understanding about a task. I leant that a good learner is always get an innovative idea
for problem solving. They also had good decision-making skill for handling different task. There
are many ways for visualization but I like poster making, because it provides many good things

for learning. There are so many ways for designing poster but a proper planning makes it more
attractive and informative for people (Martin, 2009).
Designer’s mind-set put different affects for poster making. They are having so many
qualities, such as clear communication, clear aim, peripheral vision, creativity, and open-
mindedness. Visualization is an approach for showing there observation and learning with the
help of poster making. Poster are changing thoughts of a person in few seconds, as it has so
many things for understanding but a clear vision of a poster is showing in their title. They
are .making a different image in mind, when anyone sees them (Ortlipp, 2008).
I put an image of forward thinking message it shows that always think for future and
solve upcoming problem in advanced. Deep thinking is also used for showing mindset for
understating the real problem and what are the solutions for that problem (de Andrés Martínez,
2012).
It is a way to showing their thoughts about the topic. There are so many ways for design
poster, but I chose a common way in which I used pictures, clip arts, messages and symbols for
poster making. I also learnt about 2D and 3D prototype model, which is a part of visualization. It
is a good technique for expanding about business strategy with the help of prototype. It reduces
cost and time for developing a product. Using these techniques, effectively explain about the
products details as well as advantages (Kirzner, 2015).
It is concluded from last parts of this report that, visualization is helpful providing
knowledge about something, such as product. Poster making is a technique of visualization and it
is a good way for making sense of a concept.
