Reflection and design thinking:
Reflection is considered to be one of the main
components of design thinking. Incubation
time is important for the subconscious mind to
respond to the stimuli until appropriate result
is delivered back to the conscious mind
(Liedtka, 2015). Thinking modes are vital for
attaching adequate time to the reflection
(Liedtka, 2018)
Personal reflection –exploration of the
personal experiences, thoughts,
feelings and emotions. It is an
opportunity to detect the areas, where
the individuals need to improve (Di et
al., 2015).
Importance of reflection on design thinking:
Self reflection is crucial for self growth and
maturity. Reflecting on the exposed
performance is also assistance for improving
the communication, decision-making and
perceptions (Oxman, 2017).
Methods to enhance
design thinking:
Testing is one of the
means for assessing
whether the emphasis
on the selected
solutions is appropriate
(Paul, 2018)
