Week 1
In the week one to our course of design thinking, I was given the introduction about such course.
I was explained the role of design thinking professionals and the importance of this course. We
were introduced to the teaching team, Moodle, reading material, learning resources as well as the
unit of the course. Design thinking is an important concept used by the modern businesses to
solve the creative problems of the organization. The concept of visualization as an important
design thinking tool was also discussed in this week (Brown, 2008). All the lessons learnt in this
week were interesting which motivated me to further pursue this course. The concept of the
reflection and reflection writing was taught to us and its importance was also discussed in
regards to the design thinking process. The reflection is all about the self evaluation which helps
in identifying the strength as well as weaknesses of an individual (Glen, et. al., 2014).
