Cox & Kings Enterprise Desktop Application Project Report

1. The problem
The Cox & Kings provides huge range of travel and tourism and their services. So this is
difficult for them to maintain the all tourism information. In travel and tourism of existing
systems there is not a proper well managed managements for maintaining the clients and their
issues (Mei, and et.al 2016).
Like if clients have any query but the Cox & Kings have many clients so which customer
is important or which user query is solve is deciding for firm is difficult. So for this the
organization can not manage users,their information and also their queries. Maintaining this kind
of information is difficult for organizations employees (Steinberg and O'connor, Facebook,
2013). Proper management with various customers, their detailed information and their queries
are not well managed. In travel and tourism it is very difficult to know the customers booking,
journeys because of not a proper management in old or traditional systems. Customers query
regarding to travelling can not get in proper well managed way.
2. The concept and solution
The Cox & kings provides various services and provide large range of travelling. So for
managing this big range of customers information and travelling is may going to difficult for
firm and firms employees. This desktop application provides well managed management for
managing and maintaining travel and tourism things (Sullivan, and et.al 2014). This desktop
application will give effective check and outputs over the satisfaction of customer needs. Using
these desktop application will improve the performance of firms and also improve the consumer
service. So this desktop application also provide a proper interaction and communication of
customers service.
This application solves the companies problems which arise in the management of
tourism. This desktop application helps to know the requirements and satisfaction of customers.
This desktop application will help to maintain the detailed information of customers and their
queries which solve by the employees (Mikowski and Powell, 2013). These desktop application
will help a proper management for employees and shows their activity. This application helps a
proper connections and connectivity to the clients. This application will easier for customers and

for staff because it will provide the detailed and proper information of customer and queries of
customer becomes get much easier.
3. Key features of the Desktop Application
The feature of using this desktop application is that it provides proper connectivity with
clients and gives detailed information of customers (Horvath, and et.al 2014). Using this desktop
application gives an effective check and output over the satisfaction of customer needs. This
desktop application will improve the performance of customer service and provides interaction
or commination of travelling.
This desktop application provides a well managed management for employees to manage
the travelling and every detailed information of customers. Using this desktop application the
management if properly managed then conflicts will not arise in the management section. By
chance if any one employee will leave job but the all information will be maintained and data
will be stored on server or in firms database (Rego and Koes, 2015). This desktop application
will give better accessibility on website. Queries of customers will be get easier to manage for
employees. Staff can get information very easily and immediately.
4. Business case
The business case observes the reason for creating the task or project. This business cases
helps to build a well managed systematic structure which is displaying in the document of firms.
So this can also present in the different ways of forms like in presentation or may be in reports.
This forms consist in short or verbal statements. The business case is base on the firm's volume
and organizations attitude. The main goal of business cases is to support the requirements of
organization whenever the businesses resources are used like in financial, physical etc and where
they are consumed. (Caniza, and et.al, 2014) This desktop application will minimize the
maintenance cost of system because this will manage the managements. Like upgrading the
software will improve the performance of system and in business case the improvements of
performance will fulfil the client needs. Using this desktop application will take less time for
processing the thing. This desktop application for travel and tourism is well managed.
Business case compiling and observes the characteristics of non-quantifiable as well as
quantifiable approach for a particular task or project (Walker and Chapra, 2014). This will save
the staffs and everyone time because of using just one click and detailed information will be get
by the staff (Fitzpatrick and et.al 2014). This will reduce the traditional bookings issues and give

a proper information. For business case the training is required for the employees of
organization. Some environmental issues can be arise in travelling so that the already reserved
travelling of clients can claim for give money back. The business case also include the health
care of customer in travelling. The safety of clients is important so that all the issues and things
must be write in that desktop application of travelling.
5. Target audience
The target audience are the customers who uses the holiday packages and travelling. Like
Audience can be target area wise, peoples income and post wise. For targetting audience firms
employees can give advertisement, send quotations, mass mailing and via callings (Lerida and
et.al 2013). These peoples can be anyone and they can be get from social sites and other sites and
things via using these digital marketing. In hospitality industries, organizations and the peoples
who are interested in travelling , etc are can be targeted for audience.
The Cox & kings can be target their audience via marketing, surveys and concentration
on teams. The Cox & kings target their audience via marketing through various ways like via
mas mailing, give advertisements, offering schemes and offers like discount offers etc. Mostly
company can target on commercial businesses who use travelling for businesses like meetings,
deals etc. Business man's are mostly like to use this kind of desktop offers and if they get this on
the sites with a proper well managed desktop app that gives proper information then they will
definitely use (Moncrieff, and et.al ,2014). The desktop application will help businesses to know
the travellings and their all bookings and proper information of all management.
6. Strategic alignment within the organization's business and IT strategies
This desktop application is well managed so this is compatible with many organizations.
In the field of IT using this application is very properly managed so organizations staff can use it
very easily and clients also (Khan and et.al 2016). Develop a team for give training that how
desktop application is operating and accessing. Provide the services like user queries to the
customer using organizations staff. Promotes individual groups of teams and provide a very
supporting environment to the staff. The strategy for IT consists Build the mission, work with
businesses on their process and plans, establish own IT strategy, architecture for employ
enterprise and updates the capability of interactions of those plans.

7. Value proposition and other benefits
This desktop application very effective and innovative (Bui 2015). Using this desktop
application users will satisfy it they have any query by providing the services and responses Cox
& Kings. This is maintained the organization's management and keep data in a specific and
systematic. The defined solution of problem is may be solved half. The easy always not compile
the proposition of value. The peoples mostly take simple solution but sometimes it simply
commands the concentration. This also can be used to communicate for proposition of values can
interact to know the clients desired outputs.
Provide simple solutions for value proposition. The sell with specification will increase
the value of proposition (Caniza, and et. Al, 2014). Use always regarding outputs for values
propositions. Always use direct communication for profits. Always define a real values and
make a place for priority levels for differentiate points. Make a proper plan for starting to end
points like this desktop application launch to the end.

This requires a team for developing and giving trainings to other staff. This requires
supportive culture. This requires digital marketing to the peoples.

The platforms are the places where the desktop application will run. For run the desktop
application it needs an operating system for operating the desktop application(Hudaib and et.al
2017). This desktop application must be run on different Operating systems Unix, mac and
windows. Like ubuntu, windows, kali etc.
8.2. Coding languages and tools
The coding is the major thing for creating the desktop application. The languages for
coding are the types that in which style the coding is written. The tools are the editors and
browsers that where the peoples write their codes and display the output of their codes
(Mikowski and Powell, 2013). Here for this desktop application if agile framework is used in
these desktop application then it will be easy to build. This desktop application can be coded by
using php, html, CSS, JavaScript, using some tools like notepad++, Mozilla Firefox browser.

8.3. Use of cloud services
The cloud services are the services for storing the data on the cloud or servers that helps
to secure their data form unauthorised access. These cloud services are mostly used by many
organizations for storing also vast amount of data. Managing large amounts of data may be show
difficulty for organizations. Organizations also used their personal servers for storing the data on
clouds. For these desktop application organization can use hadoop for storing big amounts of
data and big-data (Galster and Avgeriou, 2015). Cloud services allows peoples to access
applications and get the data from the server of cloud.
9. Software design, development and testing strategies
The software design means to design the software using frameworks and tools. In the
development of IT for designing the software it may easy for experienced peoples but not easy
for new comers. For software design can be used the framework of agile which is easy , html and
CSS for make interactive and different designs (Gil, Kim and Lee, 2014). The two kinds of
testing must be used after developing the desktop application one is company side testing and
testing have to be done by the customer side.
10. Internationalization for a global market.
The internationalization for a global market means the several countries and marketing
the products in their various countries nationally as well as internationally. Without taking a risk
or without knowledge of intentional marketing the organization can not run their business on the
level of international. Internationalizations for a global market can be done by the use of digital
marketing like mass mailings, advertisements, quotations etc(Fain, Rasputnis, Tartakovsky and
Gamov, 2014).
11. Social media integration strategies
Social media is today's trend which integrate the bushiness strategies. Using social media

the peoples like for travel lovers any kind of photo related to travelling like Switzerland trips
photos (He and Da Xu, 2014). Make a plan for social media objectives, aims. Create an account
for social media and always try to update it whenever it requires.

12. Risk management - privacy, security, confidentiality, ethical issues etc.
The risk are the issues that can be arise in systems as well as in organizations. For
minimizing the risks peoples always use encryption thing in system or passwords for securing
their data's and systems. Risk can be managed by identifying the problems of risk using past
history and current information (Rego and Koes, 2015). For reducing the risk always make
privacy in accounts with passwords. Security can be maintained by the granting and denizening
from the accesses. For solving ethical issues it requires a well planned person who can figure out
the problem and solution.
13. Deployment and integration strategies
The deployment is the stage where the software or products is tested by two sides alpha
and beta. Here alpha and beta is tests on the side by the company and customer . Developer testes
the code in their department, and then server will update the data of that application. If this is
going to good then the data will deploy by the developer (Medverd and et.al 2013). Then this
data is via server is updating all the old data's so this will integrate.
14. User acceptance and change management
For success this application is must be accepted by the clients and this can be only when
the customer is satisfied with services of its application (Buschle, 2014). For user acceptance this
application must be attractive and satisfy the customer. It can be use customer queries.
15. Legacy systems
This application must be work properly (Zheng and Yao, 2016). This application do its
work in desirable way. This application must be easy in operates for clients.
15.1. Database integration
The database is used to store the data in database. The database is like a container to store
the information and data (Moncrieff, and et.al, 2014). The database integration requires schema
so that all application's information will store into peoples account.
15.2. Enterprise data integration
The whole data of enterprises can be integrate with the uses of databases (Rego and Koes,
2015). Enterprises data integration is combining the business information from several sources
and then compile them into one place.

16. Maintenance
Maintenance is always used to maintain the system or may be an enterprise (Walker and
Chapra, 2014).For maintaining this desktop application organization must maintain the
maintenance like firm must purchase server, hardware, software's and maintain it.
17. Future opportunities and enhancements
Using this desktop application it will interact the customers and save the organizations
time . It will make more new customers (Al-Balushi and et.al 2015). It means it creates the
opportunity for business via making new customers. It will increase the popularity and
profitability if new customer will connect with this. This have been innovative for the mobile
users . If this application is getting popularity then it will interact many more national and
international customers.
18. Recommendations and conclusion
This report is emphasized on norms that the desktop application will give the well
managed proper managements of tourism customers. It will create the proper well managed
management and it will provide the detailed information of customers to the employees. Using
this desktop application the user queries can be solved and handle easily. It will improve the
services and employees will get the proper connection with the clients.
This report recommended that Using this desktop application it will provide the
satisfaction to the customers and maintain the connectivity and their detailed information also
interact new customers.
