INTRODUCTION
Gold Coast City is interested in the young adult destination image perceptions of the
Gold Coast. The purpose of making this report is to identify the demographic profile of the
young adults, the perception for different destination dimensions on gender wise. To find out
that the perception of male and female differs for the different designation. The report includes
literature review which support the topic with different findings made by the different authors.
With that survey is made to identify the perception of male and female on the basis of their
demographic profile. The method is selected because it helps to find accurate data to conduct
study. The study is important for the tourist in order to find the likes and dislikes of visitor’s
specially young generation on the basis of gender.
LITERATURE REVIEW
According to the view of Ahmad and Masroor, (2017) importance of travel and tourism
has been increased in large manner as demand of the visitor also enhanced as compare to the past
year. It has been analysed that demand of the travel and tourism has been increased in the young
and adult people. While adult and young adult visit at the tourist place then there may difference
perception of the female and male candidate related to the tourism destination. Male candidate
has different value, believe, psychology and mind set as compare to the female candidate. Thus,
it can be said that there is different view and perception of them related to the City of gold coast.
This is very popular destination for visit where most of the young adult regularly visit and enjoy
their time. In the opinion of Byrne and Houston, (2016) young generation mostly visit at this
mentioned place because this gives them effective level of satisfaction. City of Gold coast is
situated in the Australia state of the Queensland. It has various beautiful things such as surfing
beaches, themes park, and high-rise dominated skyline. Rainforest and nightlife, as well as it is
also major production for films for Queensland. Byrne and Davison, (2016) stated that these
various things provide an effective level of satisfaction to the visitors through which they can
regularly visit at this mentioned place. For this destination, young adult female and male visitors
have different perception because there is separate zone and different facilities for the female
and male visitors.

City of Gold coast (O'Hare, 2016). With help of this survey, the perception of the male and
female about the City of Gold coast can collected and analyse the effectiveness and beauty of the
City of Gold coast (O'Hare, 2016). In this survey, scholar has used descriptive research design
by which scholar can effectively analyse and conclude the research objective and obtain the
solution of problem (Shaw and Youngblood, 2017).

RESULT
As it can be seen in Table 1, there are nearly four times as many international students as there
are domestic students from this it could be assumed. This could mean that the respondent is 122
from which male is 55 and female is 67, on the basis of their demographic the international
respondent is 96 and national respondent is 26. The people living in Beau-desert is 1, Brisbane is
63, Gold Coast is 56, Ipswich is 1 and Logan is 1. From this analysis, it is stated that the people
living in Gold Coast have the highest number, and which communicated that people like Goal
Coast from the other places. With demographic profile analysis, it is concluded that the Goal
Cost is the beautiful and adventures place for the young generation, weather the person is male
or female. The Place serves proper satisfaction to the citizen and the tourist which come there for
the enjoyment. There is no largely significance different between the perception of male and
female for the gold coast city. The people travel in the city from various transportation such as
bus, train etc. the person travel from bus are 43, car are 56, bike are 1, train are 13 and trams are

own vehicle. The perception of the people is they feel that they can be more comfortable when
they travel from their own vehicle. They have been influenced by the beauty of the city and
enjoy that beauty by travelling their own vehicle.

between the different variable.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that as there are 96 international students and 26 domestics students which
are not even half as compare to the international student, state that people from the other country
is more than the domestic country. Most of the people have come for the education purpose in
the Gold cost city. The analysis state that people do not like to visit the city for the enjoyment
but they have come for the education. The respondent state that there are several factors at which
they are not satisfy

large market share
They should analyse the perception of people on the basis of different demographic so
that they can cater their needs properly.
They should not make any different between the perceptions of male and female because
there is no significance relationship between the gender and perception.

etc. so that they can attract large people for the tourist purpose and cater their needs and
wants in effective manner.
