For this task, you are required to develop a sustainability policy for the
organisation described in Appendix 1.
2.1.1 Define the scope and objectives of the sustainability policy
a) Read Appendix 1 and determine what legislative and regulatory
requirements would apply to a workplace sustainability policy for the
organisation (4-5).
With sustainability policy company's employees, associates, secondees, agency staff and third
parties that undertakes for and on behalf of company sustainability policies policy applies to
goods and services. As sustainability policy helps in representing a balanced interaction among
human built and natural worlds(Ochoa, Lepeley and Essens, 2018) . Main objectives of
sustainability policy is to secure economic developments, social equity and justice and
environmental protection and to have a balance in economic, environmental and social needs
that allows prosperity.
b) Research for sustainability best practice models used by similar
organisations, summarise the findings of your research (50-100 words).

The various sustainability practice models that helps businesses are:
 Be intentional about sustainability: It needs to be incorporated into corporate strategies
and reflected in business goals.
 Water and electric conservation: It refers to conserving water and energy resources by
reducing opportunities for wasting valuable resources.
c) Develop three options for the direction and focus of the policy and
consider:
o the likely effectiveness
o timeframe
o sustainability as a value add for the business
o cost of implementing the option.

d) Schedule a time with the trainer and assessor in week 2 of class and
participate in a group briefing session with the CEO (the trainer and
assessor) to discuss:

strategies to address barriers
o How cost for implementing sustainability could be reduced and value
added to the company
o The process you are taking to develop the policy
