PART C: Role Play
1. Proper time period will be needed for complete management role-play. In this role I present
the design of WHS management system and WHS policy to the CEO. For taking approval to the
CEO is important because it helps in designing of WHS management system and policy
systematically and successfully.
2. In order to propose the design of an appropriate WHS management system and WHS draft
policy to the CEO, there are different points that will be essential for me as a role of operation
manager. These points will be explained as below:
 There are different number of core elements of systems and proposed changes that will be
essential and beneficial for Endurance Fitness after COVID 19. These elements are;
screening measures will be implemented, self-serve options may be eliminated, there
might be a limited capacity, members should remain a safe distance apart etc. These are
major elements that helps in opening of gym successfully and safely (da Silva and
Amaral, 2019).
 There are some relevant standards that must be follow by Endurance Fitness while
opening gym. These are; age of 65 years, adults with co-morbidities, pregnant women
and children under the age of 10 should not use gyms in closed spaces, focus on
staggered timings to avoid overcrowding of people etc.
 There are different number of legislative requirements for WHS management that are
related to record keeping such as health and safety policies and procedures, standard
operating procedures, organisational code of conduct, equipment records including
inspections, maintenance and repair etc.
 There is requirement of WHS policies for Endurance Fitness such as making place of
gym safe and healthy, outline the duties and responsibilities for trainer. Following health
and safety act 2010 is a best and effective way for company to protect safety of their
customers from the Coronavirus. There are different objectives of thus act such as secure
and promote the health, safety and welfare of people at work, develop as well as promote
community awareness of occupational health and safety issues etc. Therefore, following
heath and safety act 2012 helps Endurance Fitness in its re-opening and in improvement
of brand imgae in marketplace.

 Policies will be communicated to the trainer by using communication methods such as
oral communication, written communication etc.
 There are certain steps that will be essential in designing of WHS management system
such as develop hazard identification and risk management processes,establish a training
program, establish a record and document management system and monitor workplace
for safety compliance. WHS policy meet internal and external requirements by providing
appropriate information about the safety to the gymer (Darabont, Antonov and Bejinariu,
2017).
 There are various number of personal trainer certification that must be follow by trainer.
These are best of additional specialisation, best of guided study, best for performance
based training, best for professional support, best for continuing education support etc.
These are major possible certification options for Endurance Fitness. There are various
steps that are essential in the process of certification. These are; approval to commerce
development, develop certification material, company review, approve certification
materials, publish certification materials, launch certification program, operate
certification program. All these are effective steps that will be essential in the process of
certification for Endurance Fitness. In this meeting I also increased my knowledge
regarding the ways for making safe environment. These are; use of mask and face cover
are mandatory, individuals must maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet as far as feasible,
utilise outdoor spaces, whenever possible, users to sanitize their hands before using
equipment etc. These are major guidelines that will be essential for me in making safe
environment of gym.
PART D:Facilitate the participation of individuals and parties in finalising the
WHS policy
 In this part I am able for preparing a final draft of the WHS policy and designing of
WHSMS incorporating the changes that may be suggested by the management team
during the consultation. Therefore, it is important for Endurance Fitness to follow all
standards and policies at place of gym (Darabont and et. al., 2017). COVID 19 is a
pandemic situation that harms on individual life. Therefore, it is my role as an operational
manager to develop safe environment for gymer. This will helps me in increasing of
gymer trust that results in higher sales and strong brand image in marketplace. In meeting

with management team, I increased my knowledge regarding the importance of safe
environment.

Introduction
Following WHS policy is important for reopening gym after the lockdown. There are number
of WHS policies such as:
1). Provide and maintain a safe work environment
2). Provide and maintain safe systems for gyming
3). Provide instruction, training, information and supervision
These are main WHS policies that will be beneficial for Endurance Fitness in re-opening of
gym successfully.
Main Body
In my role operational management for Endurance Fitness, I proved to be an efficient, strong
and enthusiastic leader. I followed different roles as an operational managers that turn to help
me in my growth and success. These roles are; modelling a culture of WHS compliance,
providing resources for staff training and support services, identifying WHS policy and
legislation changes and communicating these to staff, facilitating regular meetings to evaluate
and modify WHSMS, providing safe and secure services etc.
Conclusion
There as an operational role I put my hundred percent that are effective in re-opening of gym
after COVID 19. Thus, WHS polices are important for staring gym again in successful
manner. Along with this, by following WHS policies, an organisation can easily re-open their
Gym with full success.

I am writing this mail in response to the WHS polices for re-opening gym after the lockdown. I
would like to provide all fitness services to the people who are interest for gaining it. The WHS
Unit produces, guidelines, policy and other documentation to helps with the implementation of
WHS requirements for the Gym. There are different documentations of WHSMS such as
policies, procedures, fact sheet and guidelines. These helped in opening of Gym successfully to
the Endurance Fitness. Thus. I played different roles that are essential and important for
Endurance Fitness in opening of their gym in successful manner. In addition, I applied WHS
policy that helped me in reduction of high incidents, enhancing the capacity of business
operators to manage occupational health and safety effectively etc.

All staff members, this mail is to inform you that WHS policy and WHSMS conditions are
finalised and needed to adhere on continuous basis from the day of opening of gym. The
policies and standards are duly approved by committee and owners. The major aspects on

which focus is provided while building the policies include providence and maintenance of a
safe working environment, providence and maintenance of a safe gyming equipments and
providence of correct instruction, training, information and supervision. The standards on which
serous focus is provided while developing WHSMS is safety of both staff and clients. Here,
hygiene and sanitisation is the first priority due to the reason of covid. In this regard, major
focus is provided over regular level of sanitisation of gym, equipments, clients and staff
members. Also, members of the gym having an option that they can tell their query to higher
management in case they found any kins of issues. The direct level of management engagement
is ensured under both policy and system that must further aid in improving ground level
workings. Here, there is an opportunity to all the staff members that they can ask their queries
to management and committee. Also, in case if they have some better suggestions then
communicate to committee to same so they will focus over them. It is assumed that all the staff
members get the point of management and committee from this mail and adhere the policies
and standards strictly. In case, any employee or staff member not fulfilling their duties as per
the standards or instructions provided under polices then strict action will be taken. In case, if
they provided guilty then penalised according to the nature of consequence.
