Introduction
Development of various academic skills is required so that individuals can meet all the
objectives and perform in the required manner. The following report discusses a number of
different learning aspects which can be used by individuals so that they can develop
academically successfully (Kikas and Mägi, 2017). In the beginning of report discussion of
various systems to manage time and creation of a timetable by individual is depicted. After this
different sources and diary writing to identify current functions in academic skills required by an
individual to complete a module is discussed. The report also discusses about various systems to
identify credibility as well as reliability of data sources used for information.
Task 1
Time scheduling refers to management of time by an individual in order to make sure that
all the objectives and goals are successfully managed within the time. It is a continuous process
and affects future of an individual in order to maintain and achieve all their goals. It is necessary
that all the opportunities that are available for individual are used by them in their favour for
their growth. Time management is a great way to develop self-discipline in individuals which
can further help them to achieve all the goals and also reduce their stress and anxiety.
Contingency is leading to stress in anxiety in individuals and when they are managing their time
successfully this can be reduced. There are also various chances in which people work under
pressure. Scheduling of time will successfully help individuals to make sure that they do not
need to work under pressure as all the task is already managed. Good management skills will
also help individuals in their professional life along with academic life. A number of different
techniques can be used to make a schedule in order to manage time as mentioned below:
Pomodoro: In the following technique an individual is taking a break for five minutes after every
25 minutes of working. The breaks which is taken can be helping them to get relaxed and take
their focus of work. When certain continuous cycle of 25 minutes is completed by individuals
they can successfully take a break for 20 minutes (Menz, 2020). It is a great way which will help
in reducing stress and also skip different breaks that are usually longer than expected while
completing her work. Effective scheduling can be done with the help of this technique and when
longer tasks are to be performed by individual this technique provide them with required number
of breaks.

Kanban: this is a technique which was developed in Japan. In 1940 the technique was developed
in order to strategically plan and manage time for individuals. In the following technique
individual is required to divide the task into four segments which are backlog, to do, in progress
and done. The technique is successfully helping in checking different ways of multitasking and
also effectively scheduling the time management enhanced by SMART objectives. Individuals
can also use different software, sticky note and delegate the task to different people while
building team in order to successfully manage time.
Getting things done: This is the technique used by individuals in which they are continuously
brainstorming different task so that they can list down all the small activities which are to be
performed. The technique is divided into five different elements that are captured, clarify, reflect,
organise and engage. An individual is required to note down all the activities falling under
different categories while preparing a schedule. It will help in building a schedule that is stress-
free and individuals can also gain knowledge while the task is conducted increasing productivity
successfully.
Eat that frog: In the following way of scheduling individual need to prioritise the task before
starting the task. It is often seen that they have to perform the most important and difficult task in
the beginning and go further. The task can be divided into five different segments which will
start from task A and end at task E. The task A is most important task and task E is least
important task which can also be left undone. This will help in meeting deadlines and also setting
priorities while conducting an activity.
Time boxing: The technique of time boxing is used by individuals so that they can allocate time
to various activities according to difficulty level of those activities. The deadlines are managed
by individual so that all the activities in task can be performed successfully it is required that the
activities are performed according to the time which is allocated to them and the time is allocated
according to the complexity of the work (Slot and Von Suchodoletz, 2018)
With all the management skills that are mentioned above it can be assessed that time
scheduling can be done in a number of ways. However in the following case I have used
Pomodoro technique. The technique involves a number of breaks for a specific period of time
and it’s successfully helps in creating a schedule. Balance between work and family time can be
effectively managed in the following technique as there are a number of breaks provided. It is
also enhancing productivity of an individual along with their continuous growth. Along with

taking breaks and individual can release their stress and lower down the anxiety level while they
are performing a task. This is a great way to reduce burden over individuals as they will be
working for a long period of time without any distractions taking small breaks in between.
Task 2
What are the advice as you would give concerning the key resources that are to be used so that it
will help study and learn about model? What have you found useful and why?
The following module successfully explains various ways of performing different
functions so that the task can be completed successfully. There are different resources which are
used by an individual so that the module can be completed appropriately and in the given time
period. It is necessary that the individual is successfully using all these resources so that the
objective of the model can be achieved. The resources are essential in order to make sure that the
goals are achieved and the results obtained from the module are positive. The resources also help
in performing different functions that are required for the module. There is various number of
ways in which motivation is working as a major factor to complete the work. This is helping
employees to correctly work with all the skills which are required (Slater and Beckett, 2019). I
have also ensured that all the essential resources for the organisation are optimised to their
maximum capability. It is also necessary to make sure that the engagement of employees in the
organisation is achieved by providing them satisfaction and healthy working situation. There are
a number of ways in which managers are aligning the personal objectives of individuals with the
organisational objective. Fulfilling the requirements of individual or also helping in enhancing
productivity of the organisation along with which the profitability of the organisation is
increased. Through this all the goals in the organisation can also be successfully achieved within
the stipulated time period.
Diary on how academic skills have developed while performing the module. The diary is a
reflective detail.
Hello I am Mr xyz. The following module was aiming at achieving a number of different
personal objectives while completing it. The discussion of various impact of organisational
functions and the ways in which it is impacting achievement of business objectives is necessary.

goals and necessary. It will help in achieving better results and all the objectives and functions
that are performed can lead to attainment of these career goal. The journey which I went through
was very helpful in order to make sure that I am enhancing my skills and developing
management skills successfully. One of the major skills developed was time management skills
which is necessary in order to make sure that all the work is completed in the stipulated time
period. Along with time management skills I have also worked upon various strengths and
weaknesses of mine which will be beneficial for me in future. Communication skill is one of the
major skills which can be stated as one of my strength. This trend has helped me to communicate
all the required information about model successfully. Along with this there were a number of
weaknesses that I have worked upon in order to make sure that I can successfully achieve all my
goals. All the approaches that are used by me in the following module are helping me to enhance
my personal skills and achieve the goals and objectives at the end. Various functions have been
successfully performed with the help of the skills and managerial requirements were fulfilled
successfully identifying the priorities of the tasks. In this way I worked upon various skills and
made sure that I can successfully complete the module.
Task 3
The CAARP model is consisting of a number of different questions which are helping to
determine the reliability as well as relevancy of the information that is used from different
sources. It is necessary to make questions on currency, accuracy, authority, relevance and
purpose of the sources in order to make it sure that students are using the information correctly
from various sources. This will help students to identify the sources of information correctly and
also use valid sources while performing the task (Han, Palermo and Carlo, 2020). It is necessary
to understand the author, publisher, sponsor of the information that is used in the module.
Students are also required to work upon different typographical, grammatical or spelling errors
so that the information can be used correctly. It is also required to make sure that the information
is connected to the topic and all the questions of the audience are answered along with
presentations. This is providing the purpose of information which is made clear and used
effectively. Below are describe different sources of information on the topic of issues of climate
change:

Task 4
The students are required to identify all the requirements that are to be fulfilled by them for
academic integrity and also learning different ways so that they can avoid plagiarism and use the
references properly using Harvard referencing system. It also meets various requirements as the
following for studies consisting of discussion and various functions which are performed by
students so that they can uphold the academic integrity while performing a task. Avoiding
plagiarism along with this is also necessary so that proper references of various information used
are explained correctly.
Upholding academic integrity
So that all the requirements of academic integrity can be met students need to follow various
stages that are helping in development of different system in integrity (Frisby, 2017). It will help
students to complete their work gaining maximum knowledge and not breaking any rules. Below
mentioned are these stages:
8

In order to uphold academic integrity students are required to make sure that they are
integrating all the different functions. The processes they are using should not include any
cheating in order to improve the function and the fair working system is to be used.
Identification and helping the students to understand various offences which are usually
committed while conducting the work is necessary. It is necessary by the students to follow
fair practises and work appropriately in a fair manner to complete their work successfully.
Students are also required to function according to the requirements of the module which
will help them in gaining knowledge about different topics and positively establishing
academic integrity in their module.
Students are required to manage communication with their mentor and tutor wherever
required. They can help students with different tools of Academy which will assist students
to complete their work successfully. It is a great way to make sure that integrity among the
work is maintained by the students.
Ways to avoid plagiarism
Plagiarism can be defined as a method which is used by individual when they are identifying
the ideas, thoughts or words of others and submitting it as their own. It is required by students to
make sure that they are not using plagiarism and whatever information is provided by them is
quoted and cited properly along with the name of the author from wherever the information is
taken. Plagiarism is conducted in a number of different academic papers which are built by
students in order to understand the sources from where the information is taken. Students are
required to avoid blackguardism so that they can perform their work successfully. Some of the
objectives of avoiding plagiarism and mentioned below:
Students are required to make sure that they are keeping a track of various resources that
have been used for their module, report or a research successfully.
Students can paraphrase the ideas or words of others in order to make sure that they can
successfully show it as their own.
Student should also use quotations and citations in order to make sure that they are giving
credit to the original author from where the information in the module have been taken.
Students are also using a number of different tools in order to make sure that the work

Correct use of Harvard referencing
It can be successfully identified a number of different functions which are to be performed in
a project are met while using referencing system. It is necessary for students to understand the
importance of referencing and use different kinds of referencing in their work (Beisly, Kwon and
Jeon, 2019). Some of the importance of using referencing I mentioned below:
It is helping in defining a system that is used by researchers so that authenticity of the
information that is used through different sources can be correctly provided to the reader.
In order to prove that the report or the information provided is authentic Howard
referencing system is an appropriate system which concludes various sources and stages
that are to be followed by individuals when they are using it.
Students are also required to make sure that they can use it from Google scholar which is
a platform working globally to fulfil this need of researcher and authors. It can
successfully help individuals to make sure that they are providing information on the
topic while completing their work.
In the system of Harvard referencing individuals are identifying different methods and
tools which are adopted so that all the requirement of the organisation or project can be
met. This will also help them in performing different functions related to the system
appropriately.
It is providing guidelines to the organisation and the employees where Howard
referencing system can be used in order to fulfil different functions and tasks
successfully.
Conclusion
The above report helps in concluding that there are various necessary activities to be
performed by individuals in order to complete a certain module. Individual is required to
evaluate all the functions so that they can successfully manage time between different activities
in the module. The students are also required to develop different academic skills so that they
can perform excellently in the university course and also gain best results from these courses.
