INTRODUCTION
For the success as well as growth of organisation in competitive business market, it is
essential to have effective team and group at work place so that company would perform their
tasks and activities in a systematic manner to achieve their goals and objectives. Individuals and
team play a crucial role within company (Zepeda, 2012). Therefore, it is the responsibility of
manager to provide them appropriate training or development session to enhance their skills and
abilities. With the help of training, they can execute their tasks in a well-planned manner to get
better results and output. This project is based on development of individuals as well as team
along with their role in Tesco organisation . Apart from this, it will discuss various professional
knowledge, behaviour and skills which are required by HR officer in Tesco. Also, High
performance management and different kinds of performance management approaches used by
enterprise to work effectively and efficiently will be studied as well.

P1. Appropriate behaviour, knowledge and skills required by HR professionals
It is important that human resource department to perform in a proper manner for the
success and development of business as they are one of the major functions a company performs.
They fulfil various kind of rules and responsibilities which include recruitment, selection,
training, interview, negotiation in salary and many more. On the other hand, it is also essential
that all HR professionals have some skills and knowledge to handle issues or problems within
firm to maintain stability in market place. HR professional required various skills and qualities to
manage and control all work in the organisation. Some of them are as follow:
Multitasking: HR manager should adopts thought of internal transfer to enhance
employee's skills, knowledge and abilities at work place so that they can work in more effective
way. In this, employees gain knowledge related to various departments so that they can perform
tasks easily. Employees have to involve themselves in all operational activities and tasks of the
organisation such as complying government formalities regarding their work. Individuals who
are the part of HR department have to work on their behaviour to increase skills and knowledge
to handle any pressure or problem (Van Driel and Berry, 2012). Nowadays, it is important that
every person should have knowledge of IT so that they can learn to use any new software within
organisation which makes their work easy and comfortable.

Communicating: HR manager should have strong relationship bond and coordination
with employees of all departments to achieve desired goals and objectives effectually. HR
professionals have to prosecute themselves in all tasks and activities to raise their

Strengths: From the last two years Jane Cambridge performance has been increased. She
has created command over government legislations so, that company does not face any legal

part of HR face problem in communicating rule within the organisation. So, employee directly
discuss their problem and issues with Jane Cambridge as she has great communication skills.
Strengths help to grow business at next level in market place.
Weaknesses: Jane has average negotiation skill which is important for any HR

knowledge and learning skill of new software because of this there are lots of growth

The employees performance decides the destiny of the organisation so it becomes
important that employee's skills and knowledge should be increased (Macdonald and
Poniatowska, 2011). Individual learning is process in which employee's weaknesses is removed
through various learning procedures or training method. On the other side, organisational
learning the new technology and changes in methods are adopted by firm to improve their level
of performance in business market place. There are some major difference between both
individual as well as organisational learning which are as follows:
Vision: Training session is expensive work activity for the organisation to retain employees with
firm for long time period and also increase their skills and abilities so that they can execute their
operations well to achieve higher profitability. Employee put effort to groom and enhance their
personality as this will help them to grow career in future. The major difference between both
individual and organisational learning is that the firm focus on their vision where other one focus
to attain their personal goals.
Learning procedure: There are several methods, resources, modes and typologies used by

types of approaches like comparative, behavioural and attributes approaches discussed by tesco
organisation for increasing their performance, quality, power and skills of employees to get best
