Leadership is an important tool to improve the performance of the employees. It includes
direction, inspiring and encouraging the employees towards the achievement of organisational
goal. The Leaders are responsible to guide the employees by assigning them various business
tasks to achieve the desired result. This skill is important for every individual to grow at personal
as well as professional level. There are various leadership theories that build strong relation
among the employees to increase the performance of an organisation. It is complex and varied
process that requires understanding of people and organisation to help in achieving the set goals.
This report will examine the various activities that are take place within the organisation and
how leadership skill helps in enhancing growth of organisation to achieve the desired
result(Holt., Hall. and Gilley., 2018).

Leadership is a core element of management that helps to increase efficiency and
productivity of the person. It is a tool to motivate the other towards the achievement of the
desired result. The multiple skills and knowledge are required in the organisation to handle the
efforts of every individual within the organisation. The right skills deliver the effective result to
energies the employees towards the common goal of organisation. It also promotes effective
communication among the employees that helps to build positive relation with each of the
member of the team. In simple words, the leadership is a process through which various
activities are coordinate and manage among the group of people in most effective manner. I feel
this skill is very valuable for professional level as it highlights an individual behaviour and
conduct towards other. I developed this skill to boost my confidence and communication skill. I
feel that it is foundation stone to achieve higher growth in personal and professional
life(Flowers,., 2018). My leadership skill helps to increase my proficiency and performance in
the organisation. It directs me to frame strategies and policies to guide other in such manner, that
effective result can be easily achieved. It is important for me to evaluate my strength and
weakness with the help of strategic management tool such as SWOT analysis to identify my core
skills and capabilities to avoid future threat. The leadership skill can open new door of
opportunities for me in order to connect with the people of different culture and backgrounds

come with birth rather it develops with the exposures and challenges we face in life. I believe
that leadership is broad concept, to achieve a true leadership qualities a person must have a
vantage point of view, and he thinks openly and take positive approach for every solution.
Leadership qualities requires a good communication skills, it has been seen a strong leader has a
good communication skills (Crisp,. and Alvarado‐Young., 2018). Though my interpersonal skills
are quite well and this helped me in many ways. I can confidently communicate with the people
clearly and effectively. This skill will help me in my career and personal growth because
communication is an effective way to make things easy and clear. I can use this skill to manage
my personal and professional affairs. A professional affair means I can keep healthy coordination
with my team members to execute any task or performance. My weakness is , I lack in emotional

because for me things are professional and professional work or task don’t depend on emotions ,
things need to be done as they are required to do and I don’t tend to put emotional angle in
professionalism. Lacking in emotional intelligence can hurt anybody; therefore it is required to
have a little emotional intelligence which will help in understanding the human nature.
Confidence is another important necessity for leadership. I lack in confidence and this deficiency
may risk my leadership skill. Therefore considering the weakness and strength of my personality,
I should start working on my deficiencies and groom them by subscribing to activities,
performance and active participation and freely put forward myself without any fear. I am sure
that with the pace of time and maintain consistency in my learning and efforts I will overcome
my deficiencies and improve myself positively. To eliminate my weakness I should practice and
actively participate in activities to increase my potential and confidence to bridge the gap of
leadership skills. Following are the activities which are beneficial for enhancing personality skill
are:
Sports: sports are very beneficial for improving and grooming leadership traits. I should
subscribe to sports activities which will help me to understand how to team efforts can
make a game win.
Public speaking and social group: speaking to public is a tough task. It requires a lot of
courage and confidence to face public. To overcome public feart I should join social
groups and start interacting with them. Daily interaction will increase my confidence and
with confidence I can face public as well.
