In today's world, leadership is very essential to manage the instabilities of business. There
are so many external factors which affects the operations of business directly. The employees
have to be guided about their work so that they can perform the work properly without facing
any difficulty. Leadership is a complex process since it involves various theories and models
which are required to be applied in business. It involves guiding people about what is to be done
and the proper way of performing the task. This report will examine the process of personal
leadership style identification and will discuss different activities which are necessary in order to
improve the leadership skills of the person.
MAIN BODY
Leadership is considered one of the most essential elements which makes a direct impact
on the functioning of the business. Every activity required leadership in order to complete the
activity in a efficient and effective manner. Strong leadership skills helps the organization in
achieving the desired goals as well as improve the current performance. It is a process of guiding
and managing individuals and take out the best from them. The main aim is to lead people so that
they work at their full potential. It is the ability of an individual to influence and guide his other
members of the team. I consider leadership skills as the most important skills which help the
person in all fields of life. It is a very essential trait which can change the life of an individual.
These skills not only help the individual in his professional career but also helps in personal life.
For improving my leadership skills , I need to know about my current strengths and weaknesses
so that I can prepare a plan of improvement. I have conducted personal SWOT analysis of
myself in order to find out my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. It will help me in
determining the areas in which I need to focus on and improve my skills. The personal SWOT
analysis is discussed below:

After examining the above conducted analysis, I am able to identify different aspects of
my personal traits. My strengths include understanding the problems of my team members and
giving them the required advice from my side. I am good in creating a positive environment
around me which helps both myself and the employees working around me. It infuses great
energy in them regarding their work. I have also identified some of my weaknesses which can
create difficulties for me in the future. I sometimes do not strict enough on other employees
which affect the working of the organization. I am also not good in understanding the feelings of
other employees. There are many opportunities for me on which I can focus on for creating a
better future. I need to study more about various models and theories in order to improve my
knowledge about leadership skills. I have also identified some of the threats which can make a
huge impact on my personal development. I have to improve my vocabulary for improving the
effectiveness of my communication with other employees.
I need to focus on all these factors for improving my leadership skills and enhance my
potential in work. I have realised that there are so many things on which I need to pay attention
and devote my time on them.
