INTRODUCTION
Leadership and management skills is most important aspect through which individual can
maximize their efficiency in order to fulfil overall goals and visions in effective manner.
Leadership skills include motivation, communication, handling, listening to feedback, problem
solving and delegating responsibilities in an effective manner (Greany and McGinity, 2021).
Leadership and management skills plays an essential role though which individual can be a good
leader and can bring out their best abilities within self and team members and can further provide
motivation to accomplish shared objectives. While in terms of management skills it has been
evaluated that these skills are important at it help individual to co-ordinate and motivate other
individuals and accomplish task in an effective manner. There are wide range of leadership and
management skills through which person can enhance their capability. Present report has been
conducted on accessing own leadership and management capabilities with the help of theoretical
model in order to determine leadership strength and weakness. Along with this report include
plan in order to enhance existing strength while addressing weaknesses.
MAIN BODY

My Ideal Self:
My vision is to be a leader who invest their time in other individuals and focus on getting
things done by inspiring them. I am having clear vision of self as a leader in the future. I have
participated in the group activity in which I provided route to other team members with the help
of effective communication skills. It helps in building my confidence and trust level. For me trust
is an essential element of leadership.
My real self
This is the second stage of model in which in a team building process I have undertaken
activity to encourage feedback with kind rational and trust. Furthermore, I see myself as
challenging and encouraging and this came up in 360-degree feedback. I have received comment

from an individual that being challenging is essential through which I can assure that all
perspective of an issue in effective manner. Furthermore, I spoken to other members and
concluded that I have to work hard on open mindedness in order to resolve sensitive matter in
effective manner.
My strengths
It has been underlined by me that I have effective decision making skill as I am always stand up
for my values. Along with this I also build trust relationship with others. In addition to this it has
been identified by me that this skill offered me an opportunity to be a leader to gain the role of
Assistant in AstraZeneca Plc. According to the model of learning developed by West Berman
and houston it is essential for an individual to try things out again and again (Ren, Wang and
Collins, 2021). With the help of this one can effectively address problems in effective manner. I
effectively handle conversation with other individuals it is one of the most important aspect that
will help me to be a successful leader. I have efficient creative skills that will help me to
undertake future responsibilities as a leader in effective manner.
My gaps:
This stage mainly emphasizes on mode of learning along with the manner individual leaders
learn (Jenkins, 2021). This aspect states that to be authentic confident and authoritative it is
essential for a leader to have the growth of personal as well as professional confidence. It has
been identified by me that sometime I sit and worry and think on the thing which I need to check
before I conduct it. However, it has been evaluated by me that I am confident while performing
while my work in a team. However, it is essential for me to develop my confidence skill in order
to undertake risk in more effective manner. I want to have the ability to go with my intuition and
go for something and did not worry. However, in order to be the leader it is essential for me to
emphasize upon building relationship and developing team. I mainly aimed towards building my
strength in a conceptual and analytical thinking and looking forward to gain more experience in
resource planning mainly in context to financial resources and staff deployment.
My learning agenda
In this actions are required to be taken, however I am comfortable to try out something
new but it is essential for me to get more confident. It is important for me to take risk and
experiment with new behaviours. It has been intensified by me that changes inherited in

effective manner. However, in order how to develop my leadership growth and development

accomplish my long term leadership goal in effective manner.
Experimenting with new behaviour, thought and feelings
According to this aspect the relationship that I have with my team leaders who also
supported me display all the characters such as high level of trust, openness, honesty, ability to
challenge without threat, shared value and commitment to mutual wellbeing and genuine respect
and affection. This relationship has been built over the time, these qualities will help me to
develop a firm foundation through which I can be a good leader. Furthermore, the relationship
with my team members offered me significant support and confidence. They also provide
challenge for the most part in terms of work life balance. In order to be a good leader it is
essential for individual to have mixture of characters in their life and acknowledge them
effectively.
CONCLUSION
According to the above mentioned analysis it has been identified that leadership and
management skills demonstrate individual capabilities and effectiveness to handle various
operations and task in effective manner. With the help of possessing wide range of leadership
and management skills person can not only perform their roles and responsibilities effectively
but can encourage other individuals. With the assistance of present self-reflection report it has
been demonstrated that Boyatzis theory of self-directed learning evaluation helps in accessing
self-strengths weaknesses through which person can further develop plan to overcome
weaknesses and maximize strength in effective manner. It helps in building leadership and
management capabilities in effective manner.
