will be carried out by putting focus on manager development that will include understanding of practices
and principles of management behaviour. It will also evolve review potential of the manager by being as
prospective manager and able to show the prospective skills as and when necessary to meet the business
purposes. Finally, the report will highlight the role of career development plan for generating good
employment opportunities working in any organization are future by the individual.

1.1 Compare different management styles
Management is the procedure of meeting the organization objective by working with the people and
other important resources. It includes majorly three attributes continuing series, involving people and
working for the goal with using every resource. Managers have various duties that majorly include
planning, directing and seeing the business and fiscal health of the unit, division or department within
the enterprise. Further, they are also responsible for leading and overseeing the activities of the group in
many cases (Obholzer, 2018).
In the current study, the two of the most famous organizations of hospitality sector are hotel Hilton and
hotel Marriott. The top authority of both the organizations uses different management styles and
approaches to achieve the business aims and objectives of the organizational perspectives and receive
the support of top management.

Hilton hotel uses the system approach in which organization either treats the problem or gives the
solution as open or closed. This supports in assessing the market element that impact the business
profitability (Rahim, 2017). The Hilton manager in facing the different situation changes the ways based

vision and sharing the same so that the objectives can be met. As seen above, both the organizations has
diverse perspective as they have own style of management that will also have different leadership
characteristics.
Hilton hotel uses democratic leadership style that involves employee in decision making process and
also motivates the employees or team members and they are forced to participate in making the decision.

is with leaders only. While on the other side Marriott hotel uses the autocratic leadership style that does

suitable activities from the managers. In the role culture, power has the importance that shows the
suitable staff position in the hotel (Bolman and Deal, 2017).
Task culture: The activity which is needed to be fulfilled is important in this task culture. For instance:
In Hotel Hilton the new project related to customized services is being implemented and due to this
employees are needed to allocated on the particular task of the project. Thus it increase the capability
and productivity of the team members.
Personal culture: For meeting the business objectives the employee that are efficient and perform
outstanding are considered in this culture. Friendly and healthy culture is being managed by both the
organizations and it has resulted into ethics management in the business environment.
