INTRODUCTION
Social workers are individuals that help families, communities and other individuals in
finding appropriate solution to their respective problems. In another words they protect
vulnerable people from being abuse or harm thus helped them living independently. They
maintained professional relationship and acts as guide and advocates so that people can live
better lifestyles. This report is based on myself reflection related to culture, belief and values that
I have related to social work. Furthermore it has included crucial information related to social
justice, human right and type of social worker that it would like to become.
MAIN BODY
As per my perspective professional ethics are core of social work and it has obligation to
follow all values, ethical principle and standard while delivering services to customers. I have
knowledge related to culture, religion and preferences of people that has helped in preserving
and protecting dignity of each and every individual. I have focused on all the core social work
values while performing my task so that appropriate support can be provided to vulnerable
individuals. Such as services, as a social worker I have make effective use of my existing skills,
knowledge and capabilities to resolve serious social problem that are faced by people living in
society (Forenza & Eckert, (2018). Secondly, I have ensured social justice through offering
social support as well as resources to vulnerable and oppressed group on equal basis with an
motivate to reduce poverty, provide appropriate education, reducing discrimination and
unemployment. Thereby I have ensured that all the individuals or vulnerable individuals are
provided equal and easy access to resources, basic services and information. Moreover, as social
workers I have value the dignity as well the worth of each person, respect individual’s
differences, cultural norms and ethnic diversity. I have become social responsible to reduce the
conflict and issue that they have face in the life so that they can live better. As a social workers is
have also value human relationship because i understand that relationship between people are
important for equity. Furthermore it can be stated that I have also value of integrity or act in
trustworthy way through valuing ethical standard and professional value. I have always honestly
and responsible conduct each and every activities in order to support people (Ravalier & et.al.,
(2021).
From my perspective, as a social workers I have knowledge related to diversity that helps
me understanding belief, idea and view point of diverse individuals and find the way their

relative problem can be resolved. I should also have knowledge pertaining to population at risk
and the way social and economic justice can be maintained in the society. I have also knowledge
related to human behaviour and social environment that helps me in effective understanding the
problem, their key issue and alternative method that could be used to resolve the same. All these
knowledge as social worker has contribute in delivering services to range of people that are
living in society through making them happy and satisfied (Gherardi & Whittlesey-Jerome,
(2019). Furthermore, it can be stated that I have also knowledge pertaining to social work
practice and policy services that help me in completing my task in most effective manner.
Furthermore there are several social works theories that I have used as social worker in
order to provide support to people so that they can easily resolve their problem or key issues.
Such as I have make use of system theory that help me in understanding the human behaviour
and problem. I have considered needs, experience and behaviour of each individual that are
interacting with the system in order to find alternative method that could be used to resolve their
key issue or problem that are face by them. Likewise an children has feeling of anxiety and fear
to share its emotions, ideas to others thereby system theory has helped me in understanding why
this has happened through assessment whether the child has been abused, neglected or less
attention has been paid to him (Cheung, (2018). Thus it has helped me in finding particular
method that could be used to resolve its problem of anxiety and fear of sharing information to
others. Another theory on which I focus while being working as social worker, is social learning
theory that clearly states that individuals learn through social environment or observation of
other behaviour. It help me in addressing the destructive behaviour and habit of individuals
through offering opportunities for learning and improving the existing skills and capabilities.
From my view, there is another theory that I have also used while delivering social
services to people such as cognitive behavioural theory. It helps me in understanding the way to
connect with people experience, perceive and interpret events for emotions and psychological
functioning. I have make use of task oriented and highly specialised treatment in order to change
irrational thinking and people distortions. Transpersonal theory is being also practice by me
while taking active part in social activities to delivered services to people living in society. I have
tried to integrate creative, social, emotional spiritual, intellectual and physical into complete
elements in order to provide appropriate solutions (Walsh, (2021). While being as social worker I
have tried to offer people peace and sense of belongingness to individuals so that they can life

their lifestyles better. Likewise love, care and appropriate support that has been provided by me
to the individuals so that it can easily overcome from several issue or problem that it face.
Thereby by providing such social support to people I am able to resolve their respective problem
in effective manner.
I have enacted social empowerment through making use of intervention method in order
to guide people related to the way they can achieve a sense of control. Empowerment helps
people in gaining power to improve their lifestyles or to become more happy and satisfied in the
life. I have followed five steps in order to resolve the problem face by individuals that are living
in society. Such as identification of problem is first step that I have taken that helps me in
knowing the basic problem that people actually face. Then I have devote time to define strength
of individuals on the basis of which set goals so that maximum benefits can be delivered to
vulnerable or people that deserve support (Jaggar, (2018). Implement the intervention is third
steps that I have taken in order to enact empowerment as I have effective implement the decided
strategies in order to get fruitful outcome. Finally I have evaluate the outcome of implementation
of intervention to analysis and understand whether it has been implemented as per desired or not.
All these have helped me engaging or improving the lives of people to much extend.
I want to state that i will enact human and social justice through taking certain steps or
measure such as ensuring that all facilities or resources are provided to each and every individual
in the society on equal basis. There should be no discrimination between individuals on any basis
that is caste, gender and religion thereby all should be treated equal and no chance of injustice
cause to them. I have ensured that all human right has given and used by people while living in
society to have peace, secure and better lifestyle. I have full commitment as well as dedication to
put best possible efforts in order to provide unique, equal and more valuable services to people
that are living in society (Karunarathne, (2021). I have seek to uphold the right of individuals or
group of people through respective their points of view, feeling and idea and finding different
method for their overall growth and development. Privacy and confidentiality of personal
information of each individual has been made so that their information cannot be used for
unnecessary purposes. So, I have plan to enact human right and justice through taking ethical and
moral decision, following standard policies and procedure while providing solution to people so
that they live better life.

Social work is field of practice that always resonate in my mind and hearts as I want to
delivered services to people in order to resolve their social issue or problem in effective manner.
I want to take steps towards promoting equality and avoiding discrimination that is happening
between individuals so that all have equal access to resources and facilities that are available in
the society. So, I wants to make life of people more better through resolving the key issue that
are face by them or finding alternative solution (Loue, (2018). Among social work, I have plan to
pursue child welfare through reducing their mental stress, health and well being by providing
them appropriate support and guidance. I am interest to provide adequate services to children so
that they can grow, developed their existing skills and capabilities and learn new method for
having bright future ahead. Thereby, overall in future scenario, I have planned to pursue my
career in child welfare so that they can develop necessary skills and achieve greater success and
growth.
There are different practices that have been adapted by social workers to delivered
effective services to key people that are living in society. But out of them, there are few methods
in which I am interested to make use while providing social services to people. Such as social
case work in which I will be dealing with individuals problem through one to one relationship or
the way they can be build in social environment. It helps in effective identification of different
aspects of client problem, preparation of appropriate plan and method to build social relationship
for growth and development of individual (Knox, Gherardi & Stoner, (2020). The another
method in which I am interested to make use as social worker is social action that helps in
brining desirable changes in the defective system for ensuring the social progress. Moreover, this
is method that focus on relating the community needs with the solution of problem by making
use of collective initiative that contribute in gaining maximum outcome. So, i have decided to
make use of social action method to mobilise people, create awareness of existing problem and
find the way problem can be easily resolved.
In order to enact professionalism, there are following thing that I will be abiding so that
optimum outcome can be gained. Likewise I will start following specific policies, rules and
regulation, ethical and moral principles while taking steps towards social welfare so that no harm
can be caused to any individuals at any case. I will try to develop and retained more professional
attitude such punctual about the time, roles and responsibilities that need to be performed by me.
I would be accountable, responsible as well as committed to delivered services that are beneficial

for society so that people can live safe and secure lifestyle. Moreover, I would tried to have
control over my emotion such as anger, anxiety and other feeling while dealing with situation as
well as circumstances for more benefits (Zhyznomirska, (2020). Being accountable for my roles
and responsibilities will contribute me in acting as professionalism while working as social
worker.
I would like to become child, school and family social workers as I am highly concerned
about the welfare of children related to whether they are provided with appropriate facilities
pertaining to education and better environment or not. Child welfare social workers are workers
that support vulnerable children, families and youth through working on strength, providing safe
and nurturing environment. Thus it contribute in protecting child from external harm or abuse,
neglect being cause to them that has lead in mental and physical stress or harm to them.
Therefore I will be providing healthy and safe environment to children to live.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that social worker are significant for society as
they provide appropriate support and guidance to people related to the way they can improve
their lifestyles. It has also helped me in understanding that what method that I can make use as
social workers and the way professionalism can be built in me. Thereby the report has included
crucial information related to social workers.
