The process of encouraging then students for the purpose of embracing their curiosity is
considered as a significant part of the education. Competencies of a students includes skills and
knowledge as well as combination of attitudes that are developed and applied by students to
learn in a successful way (Canché, 2018). This report includes a description on core study skills
which have founds to be easy and difficult during semester. Moreover, this report will also cover
explanation on the significance of such core skills and will further include different approaches
which assist in studying in a different way.
MAIN BODY
Description of core study skills which have found easy or difficult during semester along with
explanation regarding why these are found difficult or easy
Effective study skills will help the students of the university in enhancing the level of
their confidence, competence as well as self-esteem. This reduces their stress about different
tests and deadlines of the assessment (Hart and et.al., 2021). Within the given module, the study
skills that were difficult for me during the semester in university includes time management and
stress management skills. At the time of examinations within the university, I became more
stressed and short-tempered as I was unable to complete my course before the examinations.
This has given me a lot of stress and because of which I was not able to concentrate on my study
and examinations in effective manner. By not having stress management skills, I also got
demotivated because of not completing the course for the semesters of the university.
I have also found time management skills to be difficult during the semester. In context to
such kind of study skill, it was very difficult to manage daily routine activities along with the
study in an appropriate defined period (Kunicina and et.al., 2019). I was not able to manage my
time in all the subjects of the university semester and because of which I also not scored good
grades within the examinations that were held in the university. As my time management skills
were not so effective, I was lacking behind in attempting all the questions in my semesters which
has also affected my report card and records within university.
Due to the lack of time management skills, I was not able to clear my concepts of the
different subjects also in my study. University systems include diploma, workshops, career fairs,
specialisation within the courses that would help me in developing such kind of study skills for

the remainder of the semester. These systems of the university would also help me in enhancing
the base of my knowledge. There were also some of the core study skills which were easy within
semester include self-esteem skills and emotional intelligence skills (López Ríos, Lechuga López
and Lechuga López, 2020). Within university, my effective self-esteem study skills have helped
me in enhancing the level of my confidence and has also reduced my anxiety as well as fear.
This higher level of confidence helped me in avoiding anxiety in university and I also embraced
my full potential. Therefore, I have found this study skill easy during the semester as it has
facilitated me in achieving good grades within university. Another study skill, that I have found
easy during the semester includes emotional intelligence skills as this skills has helped me in
analysing the situations within the university in a better and effective manner. I have found this
study skill easy because it has not only facilitated me in interacting with others but also helped
me in tackling the university issues with greater panache. Hence, this study skill was easy during
the semester (Rosenberg, Lotz-Sisitka and Ramsarup, 2018).
Approaches which will facilitate in studying in a different way for remainder of semester
Different approaches that will provide assistance to me to study in a distinct way for
remainder of semester include Gantt Charts, Reflective models like Gibb's Rfelective Cycle,
Kolb's Learning Cycle, Mind Mapping, Timetable and many other approaches (Sokhanvar,
Salehi and Sokhanvar, 2021). Firstly, I will improve time and stress management skills by
preparing timetable which will assist me in the process of managing study time along with
activities of daily-life in a set time period. To improve such skills, I will set a particular time for
completing each activity and studying every subject of my semester in order to put emphasis on
each subject and score good grades within university for remainder of semester. If I would be
able to manage my time and study then automatically my stress would get reduced as I could
complete my course in remainder of my semester. Another approach of Gantt Chart will provide
assistance to me in ascertaining that how much time is required in order to study a particular
subject or completing an activity (Swank and Houseknecht, 2019). It will also help me in
identifying the resources that are needed in such process. To minimise stress, I will keep a
soothing and minimalist area having no disturbance as well as clutter and also focussed me
within study which will help me in studying in a different way for remainder semester.
