INTRODUCTION
Business plan is said be a presentation of a written document which sates the objectives
and goals of a business. The plan also contains the time frame within which the business has
planned to achieve it. The report discusses about the personal and professional objectives which
a person has with his life. An individual set some goals, makes a time frame within which he has
to achieve that goal. Apart from this the report also includes the personal development plan
which helps an individual in making a blue print about the skills and knowledge he needs to
develop in him to achieve his ultimate goal.
TASK 1
Concept of personal and professional development.
The personal and professional development is a process which is followed by
organisation as well as individuals to bring the necessary developments in their performance so
that they can achieve their set missions and goals. This process includes the engagement of
learning by organisation and individual. These learnings help them in becoming closer to the
success.
The importance of short term goals along with the statement of 3 personal goals
The short term goals are necessary or any individual to achieve and monitor the long term
goals. The short wins leads to the huge or larger success. An individual segments its long term
goals into small goals so that they can monitor the steps which and directions of his actions.
Through this he can observe that whether his steps or actions are going in right direction or not.
And if not necessary steps can be taken to bridge the gap between the actual and set objectives.
Short term wins also motivates the individuals and are necessary to acquire so that the long term
goals can be achieved through them. Three core short term goals can be:
Learn to balance the work and professional life
Good communication skills
Improvement of logical reasoning
The importance of medium-term goals along with the statements of 3 goals
The medium-term goals are that goals which can be achieved within the time span of 6 –
12 months. The medium-term goals contributes to the success to the long term goals. These goals
motivates the individual in making his hard work or learning in continuation so that they

encourage him to be determined and focused towards the long term goals they have decided or
themselves. The medium-term personal goals may include:
Skills for team management
Skills to handle the conflicts and coming up with reasonable solutions
Develops the ability to motivate the others
The importance of long term goals along with the statements of 3 goals
Long term goal is said to the ultimate goal which an individual has set for him. The long
term goal are those goals which consumes more than a year to get complete. These goals
strengthens the personality of an individual as he has worked from a very long time to achieve it.
To achieve these long term goals the individual forms various short and medium-term goals that
lead to the path of long term success. Some of the long term goals which I have set for myself
may include:
Development of leadership qualities
Inculcate the management skills
Legitimate decision making ability

Sources from which an individuals take the idea for learning purpose affects a lot. If the
source used is very effective and full of knowledge then the individual who is using that source
can able to gain more clear understanding about the skill. But if the resource from which an
individual is taking the help for skill development then it might can create a compromise upon
the quality of skill he inculcates. Therefore the source form which an individual is using for skill
development should very effective and efficient. A lot of things matter when the resource used is
appropriate for an individual for his learning purpose.
