1. INTRODUCTION
Motivation is driving factors that inspire an individuals to take necessary steps in specific
manner so that company can enjoy high growth and market share. In another words, it is
stimulating people to take necessary actions or enhance their overall performance and
productivity for benefits of organization. Motivation at workplace is essential as it helps in
reducing employees turnover, enhance productivity and profitability of company to maximum
extend. At the same time motivated employees are ready to devote extra time as well as efforts
to delivery high quality services to customers. Manager make use of different techniques as well
as method in order to handle and motivate employees so that company can earn maximum
revenue and profit margin. Literature review is use of secondary source like books, journals and
articles in order to conduct research pertaining to specific topic and gathered relevant
information. Thereby, this report has highlighted crucial points related to motivation at
workplace that is beneficial for organization. Furthermore, method that are used by manager of
company to motivate diverse range of employees so that company can attained its end goals in
limited time frame and cost.
2. LITERATURE REVIEW
From the view point of Finn, (2020), motivation is a process that initiate an individual to
take necessary actions or perform particular task in company so that it can easily achieve the end
goals. Motivation is inspiring individuals to devote more commitment, determination towards
their respective work for benefits of organization. Thereby, motivation helps in influencing
individuals to delivered better services to customers.
Another author also illustrated Harvey, (2017), that motivation is of two type such as
extrinsic and intrinsic motivation that inspired individuals to work hard for company. Intrinsic
motivation refers to internal factors or psychological needs that motivate employees to improve
their overall performance. Friendly working imprisonment, respect and recognition, socialism in
working place are some of the internal factors that motivate employees to put maximum efforts
for growth of company. Extrinsic motivation emphasized on external factors or reward such as
money, status, power inspired individual to complete the task in best possible manner. So, there

are two manner in which particular person working in company can be motivated to work for the
company for longer time frame.
As per perspective of Usher (2018), there are various benefits of motivation at work place
such as lower level of absenteeism, improved work performance and many more. Likewise,
Motivate workforce are more interest to come to office on regular basis rather than taking leave
or off for any reason. It also helps in retaining maximum number of talented, skilled and
qualified employees in the company for longer time frame. At the same time, it contribute in
building and maintaining strong relationship among management and worker of company for
smooth operation of business. The author also state that motivation lead in improving
performance of employees as they are ready to make optimum utilization of their existing
capabilities and skills in order to complete specific task. Moreover, the company can easily bring
change in the organization as highly motivated employees are ready to accept external change
and innovative ideas so that company can maintained its brand image in mind and hearts of
customers.
While, on contrary note, the Higgins and et.al., (2019), state that company that there are
certain limitation of not making use of motivation at work place likewise, employees are not
much interested to work for organization. They are ready to work individuals rather than team in
order to complete specific task that resulted in creating barriers in effective operation of business
in external environment. Furthermore, it can be stated that lack of motivation at workplace also
lead in increase chance of conflict, confusion and contradiction among employees. Thereby,
creating problem for management of company to handle and manage diverse range of individuals
for attained of end objective of firm. So, due to lack of motivation within workplace company
have to face changeling in handling people and delivering timely services to range of customers
living in the society.
According to Dweck and Molden, (2017), there are different method of motivation that
are used by manager to inspired key individuals such as providing healthy and safe working
environment to employees so that they can easily complete the task. Respecting and recognition
of each individuals efforts also motivate them as they feel highly motivate to work for company.
Fair compensation and equal opportunities need to be provided to each employees is also one of
the method used by manager to inspired individuals. Financial increment and promotion of

employees in the company are more different method that helps in motivating employees to work
for expansion of organization. Providing job security to employees is also method that are used
by many company manager in order to retained employees productivity as secure employees are
more committed towards their respective roles and responsibilities. Therefore, encouraging
employees to share their feedback, view, ideas in decision making is also helpful in motivating
numerous individuals in the workplace.
3. CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that motivation is crucial in workplace as it
helps in smooth operation of several task, increase in productivity and profit margin of company.
The future study can be made on the way manager motivate wide range of individuals so that
organization can retained its market positioning. Moreover, it can be summarized that the
research has helped in studying the importance or benefits of motivation at workplace for
company. At the same time, strategies that are used by manager to inspired range of people to
work on their overall performance and productivity so that company can enjoy maximum market
share. At last it can also be concluded that motivation at workplace is helpful because it reduce
employees turnover, maximize productivity thereby enhance sales and profit of company.
Therefore it can be stated that company should make use of financial and other motivation to
make employees happy and satisfied.
