INTRODUCTION
The attached MS- excel document represents the data on COVID-19 and also reflects the
adverse impact of noble corona virus. The Covid-19 pandemic was such a mishap that it gave
rise to the situations like lock-down, deaths, restrictions on the import and export trade practices
(Bose and et.al.,2019). The impact of this disease has not only affected the lives of people but it
has given a big hit to each and every industry be it a hospitality industry, vehicle industry or any.
It has even led to the conditions like poverty, loss of employment and even decline in GDP rate
of economy through different globes. In the following report the data has been taken from an
authentic source like from the website of World Health Organisation. The data is taken for the
year 2021 for two certain factors the one is infectious rate and the another one is total
vaccination rate. The report highlights the data interpretation from the measures of central
tendency- mean, mode and median along with the other functions of excel like Maximum,
Minimum, Sum & Count.
Main Body
Impact of covid-19
The nobel corona virus has caused economic and social disruption which is very
devastating. It has led to the dramatic loss of human life among different nations and has
reflected remarkable challenge to the health of people. It has also affected the food system of
nations and has placed millions of livelihood in a huge risk. All this has left to the economy in a
stand-still position. Instead of the ban and restrictions on the certain activities, the countries has
to face several issues in terms of per capita income, gross domestic product, manufacturing and
production scale, profitability etc (. Dutil and et.al., 2018). The spread of Nobel corona virus
kept on increasing with a horrifying speed and has even caused mental health issues.
Raw data presentation
The data has been taken for the year 2021 from an authentic and reliable source of World
Health Organisation website. The purpose of taking this data is to understand and interpret the
effect of COVID – 19 pandemics in accordance with the two segments, they are - infectious rate
and the total vaccination rates.

Statistical Techniques
Mean, median is the statistical tool that are used here to analyse the data in terms of infectious
rates and total vaccination rates of America, India, Brazil, France, UK, Austria, Canada and
Iceland.
Mean- It is a metric that is used to find the average value from the given data set. The two
parts of statistics are descriptive and inferential stats (Gündüz and Asan, 2022). Descriptive
statistics aids in getting the specific value from the given sample. Mean is evaluated by adding
all the numbers and dividing it by the number of observations. The average value calculated for
the infectious rates and total vaccination rates of above stated nations is 39212194.38 and
25410682.13 sequentially.
Median- This is the measure which is helpful in calculating the middle value from the
given series of numbers. The evaluation of mid-value is done differently for the odd and even
series (Hairong and Nan, 2021). The mid- value obtained from the data set is 146989594.00 for
total vaccination rates and 22137645.50 for infectious rates.
Data manipulation
In excel, there are various functions which helps in simplifying the complex calculations. The
functions of excel can be described as given below:
SUM: This function of excel is used to derive the total of all the values. There are
different formulas for distinct functions. This function can be applied by using the = sign
and (). In brackets, the number of rows for which the addition is required will be
contained in this. In context of covid19 data, there is information about various countries.

The sum of rate of vaccination is 3161697555.00 and total cases of infection is
203285457.00.
Maximum: This function will return the highest value from the entire data set. It can be
computed by =MAX () function (Hernandez-Perez, and et.al., 2020). With respect to the
given excel data, the maximum value of rate of vaccination is 1805830502 which
represents the Austria. The maximum number of infectious rates is 79091857.00 which
represent the country of America.
Minimum: It will derive the minimum value from the entire data set (Moragaspitiya,
Rajapakse and Millar, 2019.). The minimum value of the vaccination rate is 79036
which represent that the United Kingdom is having least infectious rate. The minimum
value for the total cases of infectious rate is 177015.0. It shows that Iceland is having
lowest cases of infection.

Analysis and Findings
The impact of Covid 19 is having the worst scenario which is faced by the entire
economy. The effect of covid19 has led to loss the various lives and impact each industry such as
tourism, hospitality and entertainment. In different countries, there is different level of infectious
rate and total cases of infection. These rates help in identifying the different aspects of the global
pandemic.

CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that the MS excel is an important function
which helps in performing various typical calculations in easy manner. There are various
functions of excel such as minimum, maximum, mean, median and mode. The data related to the
covid 19, which shows the infectious rate of the different countries. The data is used to take
various decisions of the different organizations. The measures of central tendency such as mean,
median and mode shows the entire population.
