Introduction
Management of any project within the organization is depends upon the resources utilization. If
organization wants to complete the project successfully then it is important for the organization
to cover all the relevant steps and action plans in the project management plan. This report will
include the computing project in respect of the DHL organization that is providing courier
services in worldwide nation and this organization is based in the UK. This computing project is
for DHL organization because there are some of the security issues or threats facing by the
organization while will damage the information of their customers and employees. With the help
of this project they will reduce the negative impact of the vulnerabilities and apply the logical
and physical security resources in their organization. This report will provide the project
management plan for DHL organization through which they will cover time, scope and cost. The
report will also include the research through which suggestions and opinion of the respondents
will be identifying regarding the impact of vulnerabilities on their computing devices
performance.

P1 Devise project aims and objectives
Description of the project
Devices which are related to the internet will always support the organizations for their
automation and processing effectively in their routine operations. Apart from this, there are
various types of security issues faced by the organization while using the internet enabled
devices. Security issues which are related to the internet devices are somehow associated with
the physical and logical resources. This project is mainly used to plan the security system for the
organization so that information and details of the customers can be maintained. The project
planning is to ensure about the computing system security which are mainly used between the
customers and the suppliers of the DHL organization (Subashini and Kavitha, 2011).
DHL express organization is the division of German logistics organization which provide the
international courier services, mail services express and parcel. As per the services of the
organization they have three main requirements so that they can achieve the information
management like- integrity, confidentiality and availability. This project will also overcome
security threats and issues along with the potential solutions so that impact on the business can
be managed. The project will include the aims and objectives are related to the security of the
computing system in the organization (Abomhara, 2015). Following are the aims and objectives
of this project:
Project aims: The project aim is related to the computer security for understanding the associated
vulnerabilities and threats on the systems used by the organization. The aim of this project is also
related to identify the ways for resolving the impact of the vulnerabilities with the effective
solutions. The aim is to carry out the successful execution of activities with the effective quality
through which required security can be managed and this project can be effectively implemented
(Dhingra and Verma, 2015).
Project objectives:
 The objective of the project is related to identify the computing devices usage in the DHL
and how the integrity, availability and confidentiality of the information is important for
organization

 Another project objective is related to the security vulnerabilities and issues with its
impact on the relationship of organization and its customers.
 Objective is to define the issues or losses faced by the organization related to the
computer security.
 Also to monitor the computer security quality and performance within the organization.

P2 Project management plan
There are some activities which are included in the project management team and through which
objectives and goals of this project can be achieved by the organization. The activities of the
project management plan are linked within the scope and constraints for this business. Following
are the steps and activities which are included in the project management plan:

The project cost is related to the software and hardware components. The hardware and software
components in this project are required to measure and monitor the network security issues
within the computing devices (Schwalbe, 2015). Following are the activities which are included

As per the requirement of the organization regarding this project the time of 6 months is decided
for completing this project. Apart from the 6 months, 1 month is also included as the margin so
that if any risk or time issues faced can be easily managed and overcome by the organization.
With the help of the time management they can change and recover the time risk management
(Martinelli and Milosevic, 2016).
Project quality
The quality of the project is one of the important stages which are required to be managed by the
project manager which is planned to manage and monitor the quality. On the other side, all type
of activities can be merged and also accomplished in this project so that they can check the
quality. Project quality can help the organization to deliver the high quality of the information.
Project communication
They can use the telephone and mails for sharing the information which is related to the project.
These techniques or tools used for conversation which is effective as the communication tool.
They can also use the written reports and the evidence for conducting the project activities as the
communication tool through which they can share the ideas and knowledge (Rittinghouse and
Ransome, 2016).
Project risk
The project risk is related to the completion of the project on time and within the set budget or
cost. It is very essential for the organization and its project management team to manage their
resource utilization in effective manner so that they can avoid the project risk. The desired tools
are provided to reduce the failure of the project.
Project resources
The monitoring tools for security and network performance are provided for meeting the aims
and objectives of the project. On the other side, the additional hardware is required for the
authentication so that they can effectively manage the security performance of the organization
(Lock, 2017). Apart from hardware, software base is also required to ensure about the security on
the data usage. It is important for the organization to select the skilled and qualified employees
or experts who know everything about the computer system and IT (Information Technology).

P3 Work break down structure and Gantt chart
The main goal of the project management is to attain the three main goals of the organization
such as- time, scope and cost. If the designed project fails to achieve the aims because of some
constraints the computing project of the organization got affected. The whole project will be
divided and classified between various activities because through this organization can
effectively manage the performance of the project and manage the time and cost limitation
(Heagney, 2016). Following are the connected activities along with the sub-activities included in
the project:

activities and task which are important and essential to conduct the project plan in the
organization. With the help of the work breakdown structure it will become easy for the DHL
organization to execute the steps as per the priority and requirement. The activities are required
to be done and implemented according to the specified sequence. This WBS will help the
organization and its project management team to execute the plan with the main activities and

Gantt chart: Gantt chart is mainly defines the time duration for each and every activity which is
mentioned in the work breakdown structure. The Gantt chart is always prepared and created after
WBS so that all the activities must be divided between their required time and duration. As it
will become clear with the help of the above Gantt chart that there are seven activities which are
divided within the six months as this duration is set as the completion period of the project. With
this WBS and Gantt chart, the project management team can effectively manage the performance
and time management of the project. This will help the organization to execute and implement
the plan within the specified time and costing.
