INTRODUCTION
Diabetes refers to a disease which occur when individual
blood glucose or blood sugar get higher. Blood glucose refers to a main
source of energy which comes from eating food. Insulin is a hormone
which are made in pancreas and enable glucose to get from food into cells
of individual to use as energy. There are a large number of population who
are suffering from diabetes which about 7% of UK population are living
with diabetes. There are also large number of children who have diabetes
and diagnosed every year. To deal with it, National Health Services has
made better and effective response related with diabetic problem. They
provide high quality care and treatment to the patient which increases
healthcare cost (Camacho and et. al., 2018). This issue is getting higher and
creating burden on healthcare due to diabetes.

sugar whereas within individual, it create a high impact on country
healthcare system. There are about 7% of UK population who are
diagnosed with diabetes and need a proper care and treatment. There

diabetes. It is predicted that within UK, there are about a 549,000
have diabetes who have not get diagnosed yet (Rea and et. al., 2019).
This number are increasing every year and creating high burden to
increase the health care cost of National Health Services. In this, there
is need to implement some policy and better awareness regarding
diabetes which can help to prevent to reduce the burden of
healthcare cost caused due to diabetes.
History of diabetes and NHS
History of diabetes started with approximately 1550 BC
where this disease wher not able to get understand and become
classified as different type and treatment. This create a large number of
long term health complication. The term diabetes is credited of
Memphis which refers to a disease in which patient may drain more
fluid than they can consume. There is high expense of Health Care costs
within NHS that include 10 billion each year (Quarti Machado Rosa and
et. al., 2018). This created due to its complication which may include
kidney failure, blindness, stroke that create a cost lot of money. Due to
this cost pressure, diabetes within NHS to get worse. This create high
prevention due to complication of developing treatment with impact in
individuals life. In this analysis need to ensure that there is can reduce
the cost of healthcare on diabetes through implementing different
opportunity which can enable organization to improve care and reduce
the cost.
In this, performing different lifestyle, changing
individual behaviour and proper care may include as the intervention
and strategy which can be highly effective and reduce the healthcare
cost of NHS. This also improve the quality of care and patient
improvement. This can be effective and allow NHS to reduce their
cost burden implementing strategy and supporting large number of
population for improve their health.
People need to get diagnosed at the time of symptom
appears of diabetes. This can be effective and provide NHS to reduce
their healthcare cost in providing treatment of different complication
(Levy and et. al., 2019). Due to causing of diabetes, this can be
effective and allow to reduce their healthcare cost through providing
on time diagnosis and effective intervention for improving quality of
care.
Development of NHS regarding diabetes
problem
NHS has some of the most radical reform since its creation in public service
1948. Historically, NHS provide services to poor and elderly received care
from religious order. However, it provide form of support to most needy
person through out under the first poor law. It provides benefit and
support to poor at home. It provides a national network for general
practitioner to provide healthcare services on large scale to the poor
people and public of UK. It provides services like home nurses, public and
environment health and health promotion which includes continuous run
by elected local councils. In 1960 decade of first expansion, it provided new
building and technology which provide a boom in the hospital industry.

From above discussion, it can be concluded that
diabetes is a public health concern which create a high cost burden
for NHS to deliver healthcare services treatment to the large
population. In this report, there is a discussion about diabetes and
history and development of National Health Services in diabetes
problem. NHS is a public health organization which provide
healthcare services treatment and care to the large population.
Diabetes create a high cost burden for NHS which needed to reduce
through using different strategies and intervention to reduce the cost
burden. There is some development on the NHS services that enable
them to reduce cost burden of diabetes problem.
This created impact on number of beds for the
population. It also includes health care services that allowed them to
deliver quality care and treatment to the poor people. In this, diabetic
problem create high impact on larger scale. NHS provide health care
services and treatment of diabetes problem to the poor people within
UK (Guest and et. al., 2018). This needed high cost due to delivery of
care and treatment of consequences of diabetes problem like stock,
heart failure and many other relevant disease. Due to this, NHS need
to evolve themselves to take care about their funding and ensure that
there should be minimum expenditure on diabetes related problem.
Diabetes is a main health concern which NHS need to take care about
that more effectively. NHS feels that healthcare cost expenditure for
diabetes and relevant problem created high impact. Due to this and it
has got a healthcare cost burden to deliver treatment and services
with the consequences of diabetes problem.
In order to this NHS have taken consideration to ensure that different
strategy and prevention should be taken that can able to reduce the
risk of diabetes. It also concern that there should be diagnosis of
individual at the earliest stage when diabetes symptoms are observed.
This can provide better health care treatment and reduce the cost
burden of diabetes on NHS. Through this it can evaluate that there is
evolution and development of NHS regarding diabetes problem which
includes proper delivery of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of
diabetes problem (Borisenko and et. al., 2018).
