Introduction
The communication process in an organization can be defined as a process through
which people interacts with each other. Digital communication has become challenging as
well as a complex where managing global teams located in geographically dispersed areas
have become critical than ever before (Smal & Jõgeva, 2016). Two communication scopes
can be seen in every organization: internal and external. External taken place when
communication is established with communities and customers whereas internal
communication refers to interactions made within the workplace ( Gustafsson, Nässlin, &
Åman, 2018). This paper and annotated bibliography analyses digital issues faced by
contemporary organizations and how effective communication can be established.
Discussion
Technology constitutes as an important element of communication within
international firms and can be defined as an information-sharing tool to develop and design
organizational culture. It can be noted that computer-mediated communication systems tend
to become the backbone of several firms which seek managing and coordinating people
located at diversified geographical places (Ganapathi, 2016). Neely & Mosley (2018) claims
that although effective communication has emerged as a beneficial opportunity for most of
the firms, several international organizations face additional challenges which result in
disconnections, breakdowns and decreased performance metrics. One of the digital
communication techniques, virtual communication process faces numerous communication-
related challenges which disturb the work environment and create difficulties in global team
management (Nydegger & Nydegger, 2010).

Conclusion
Communication challenges have become evident in today’s organization which
generates cultural gaps, language barriers and ethical issues. Therefore, the literature suggests
implementing communication strategies in a way that can be comprehended easily by every
organizational members and addresses difficulty faced by employees.
