report is generated by Deloitte. It can be found out that the use of the digital technology is
occurring at the different parts of the industry. Regarding this Deloitte has described the
possible areas in the industry where the digital disruption is possible. Apart from that Deloitte
has categorized the use of different emerging technologies on the basis of the impact of using
those technologies in the industry. These categories are- short fuse-big bang, long fuse- big
bang, short fuse-short bang and long fuse small bang. It has been seen that about 33% of the
Australian companies including the health care organization and education are in the long
fuse-big bang. About 18% of the Australian Economy includes in the long fuse –small bang.
This category includes manufacturing and mining process. ICT and media, finance, retail
tread are in the short fuse-big bang. This type covers 32% of the Australian Economy. Food
and accommodation is in the short fuse- short bang which covers 17% of the Australian
Economy. These are the indicators of the impact in the Australian Economy. In order to
understand the impact of these industries on the Australian economy, the changes in the
revenues are evaluated in a proper way. After that the performance of these firms in the
digital era can be analysed in this context.
