Images are converted in form of Digital Images so that characteristic enhancement can be done.
Digital images improve the grade of the photograph. Drastic boom about digital imaging has
arisen from the past few years. Every industry is using the concept in order to boost up the
performance. Also using digital images became the key to gaining popularity on social media.
Uploading digital images on Hotel’s website will increase the brand value. It will raise the online
presence of hotel.
This report has been divided into four learning outcomes. In the first learning outcome, a brief
idea about digital images and sources of digital images will be discussed. Also, various digital
images will be created through sources. In the Second learning outcome, various file formats and
image processing fundamentals will be discussed. Along with that Digital data management
techniques will be used to store images that will be used in hotel’s websites, broachers and
banners. Through third learning outcome, a study about image manipulation will be discussed
and manipulated images will be produced from an image manipulation tool. In the last learning
outcome, a brief evaluation study about digital images will be discussed.

LO1 Be able to create digital images for specific purposes
1.1 I need to put pictures of primary and secondary sources and explain the key features
primary sources ( digital camera , digital scanner , digital video camera, smartphone )
secondary sources ( internet , magazines, journals , books )
A.C 1.1 Identify sources for digital images such as primary and secondary sources
for the given case study
The numeric representation of an ordinary image in the form of 0 and 1 is known as Digital
Image. The smallest individual element of the image, from which digital images are formed is
termed as Pixel. The digital images are often known as Raster images. Term Raster image
generally follows a pattern of Rectangular pixels. In computer memory, digital images are stored
in form of Pixels (Learn ImageJ, 2018). Images are always good option to engage more and more
people to the brand and how good it will be if images are in digitalised form i.e. Digital Images.
Sources play a very important role in the creation of Digital Images. Selection of proper Sources
in obtaining new digital image needs crucial attention and decision. Generally, the sources of
digital images are classified as
Primary Sources (digital camera, digital scanner,
Secondary Sources
Primary sources include all those resources that can be used by us in the present time, in order to
obtain some kind of image. Primary sources include the pictures that have been clicked by us,
sketches designed by us (Bbc, 2018). Basically, primary sources include all those tools or ideas
that are the original work of user during the research. Some examples of primary sources are
digital camera, digital video camera, smartphone and digital scanner.

Primary and secondary sources can be distinguished on the basis of spam of time. Primary
sources deal with the present time work and secondary sources dealing with past time work.
Since primary sources include only original work so they are bit more time consuming than
secondary sources. But primary sources include the latest techniques and ideas (Otis College of
Art and Design, 2018).
Images are a way to access a bunch of information quickly and easily. Proper balancing of
sources needs to be done in order to get the best digital image results. Topas Hotel has also used
the concepts of primary and secondary sources to improvise the Ambience of the hotel. Like
talking about the secondary sources, hotel had analysed the idea and layout of decors of various
top hotels of the city and carried out the basic idea regarding the soothing ambience plan. Then
as a primary source, certain self-defined ideas have been implemented by the company in order
to get the innovative and unique ambience of hotel.
