Future of Discussion board, NEWS, Social bookmarking and Q&A sites.
The role of Discussion boards is reducing day by day. There are two reasons behind diminishing
popularity of discussion boards firstly the introduction of various new social media platforms to
communicate with people having similar interests like facebook and whatsapp, which can be
assessed by anyone. The discussion board has gained importance among the gamers and some of
the companies who find discussion board as product innovation technique. Social news sites are
gaining importance over the old sources of gathering information. The mobile phones have made
social news websites popular among people. Mobile phones have made the access to these
websites much reliable. Social media websites like reddit and newsvine display information as
per the comments received by the readers. Thus, the future of social news is growing. The social
bookmarking is leading towards as greater future as the websites like facebook, reddit and
pinterest are allowing users to share their content and comment on it. The Q&A sites are going
under traffic decrease only the news sites like quora are getting popular these days (Baltes,
2015).
PROS and CONS of different sources of Digital Marketing
Article, E-books and White papers are different sources of digital marketing. Each of them have
pros and cons. Articles reaches directly to the specific/target audience, they can be found and
shared easily. The articles are lengthy, this is because most of its content is left unread by the
reader. E-books are efficient source of business marketing it not only provides information about
product/subject but it also includes images and graphics. It is written in simple and
understandable language. E-books require licensing which is a painful and time-consuming
process. Lastly, White papers are popular source of gathering information these days. It includes
facts and figures, which helps in delivering more information about the subject. White papers
should be authentic and carry valid information. Thus, it requires lot of research to develop a
white paper, which makes the process time consuming (Chaffey & Ellis-Chadwick, 2019).
