In today's world, everyone is becoming addicted to the internet and online marketing so
digital media and the internet are enhancing the market through the world wide web’s such as
electronic mail, social media, internet telephony, and the other streaming media services. I think
the internet has played a crucial role in saving the cost in all the sectors of the economy and also
results in growing productivity faster (Salem, et al., 2017). The living standards in the economy
are enhanced by the internet as it brings the technological revolution.
The major benefit to the economy is that it opens the doors for international trade
which benefited the economy at the wide range from wider geographic access.
For the digital media, the internet is the backbone I think where the activity of the world has
been shown through social media and also underpins the powerful catalyst. I have seen that
major business has grown up their marketing strategy through advertising so in my opinion
business also helps in reaching the customers through the internet. It gives benefits to society
and the economy as the internet has incredible multiple effects (Jenkins and Bogost, 2016).
Digital media have several tools that I have seen but for me, the major tools which are
used in the economy and which are benefited to the economy are social media tools,
advertising, and email marketing. These tools have the traffic of the audience and also cost
lower (Van Deursen and Helsper, 2015). Digital media has increased the competition in the
market which results in the innovation of the product and helps in increasing the efficiency and
the productivity of the economy.
Digital media has also brought more employment in the economy which helps in
providing opportunities for the people to remove inequality and unemployment. Digital media
helps in attracting huge traffic to the websites and helps in introducing the products of the
companies to the consumers (Micheli, 2015). It not only helps in enhancing the growth of the
economies but also making them aware of the product to the consumers so no one can take
advantage of the consumers.
I think digital media has more benefits which help the economy of the country to grow
and increase the rate of the GDP (Kutscher and Kreß, 2016). Digital media helps in social
connecting to the people, versatile working and speedily communicate the main information to
the consumers. The huge proportion uses the internet over the web which helps in giving the
opportunities to access the things and to acquire the world knowledge through this web. The
