INTRODUCTION
The following presentation will highlight the use of social
media for personal and professional development. Social media has
been widespread all across the world and majority of the population
is using digital media as a mean to enhance the professional and
academic career (Nkomo, 2018).
The presentation will include discussion on the use of
digital media to enhance the employment opportunities. It will
identify one phone application (Facebook app) which helped the in
the development. Further, there will be discussion on the importance
of digital media.

Digital media has helped many businesses in the variety of ways and have achieved a
tremendous growth throughout the business. With the help of digital media, businesses can
increase its performance and the overall profitability. Following are the uses of digital
media which can enhance the employment opportunities:
 Reaching out target audience – It helps to gain information about the target audience
and helps to cater to the needs of the audience. The customers can give feedbacks on
different social media platforms which can allow the organization to react the target
audience.

Identifying phone applications that have been used for developing professional
and academic careers
Phone applications such as Facebook have been used to aid learning and helped in
enhancing the academic and professional development. The use of this phone application
have allowed the business to create its own brand and helped in the overall career of this
profession. It is very important to communicate with the clients and interact with them at a
daily basis.

CONCLUSION
It can be analysed from the above presentation that there is wide use of social
media in the academic as well as professional career. It allows the organization in different
ways and increase the performance level of the business. Digital media in professional as
well as academic career is very important because it helps to build a relationship between
the customers and the management and further it helps in learning.
