INTRODUCTION
Sustainability is becoming one of the important issue in today’s business
environment. The reason behind this is continuous increasing in the number of environmental
issues (Aiello, 2020). It is very important to know that organisations and every individual
needs to do something for maintaining the environmental pollution as it is extremely
exploiting. It can be improved only with the help of right sustainable actions. This report will
undertakes the portfolio and evaluation on the sustainability theme. It will consider the
recruitment material as sustainability theme.
MAIN BODY
Portfolio
Recruitment is found to be an important process for the organisation and it becomes
necessary for each and every organisation to take sustainable actions. For that purpose, it is
found that organisations needs to focus on recruitment material (Gribble and Blythe, 2021). It
found that organisation is wasting in collection of documents for candidates as there are many
of them which are not selected still their documents increases the paperwork and
environmental issues as well. So that’s why this theme is undertaken which helps to identify
the way to reduce the documents of candidates and paper work. Some important materials
which are used in recruitment are advertisements, letters, flyers, etc. these are the important
and integral part of recruitment materials. It is very important for organisation to make sure
about the sustainability recruitment. It is an important strategy of hiring in which HR
managers of organisations always keeping in mind.
Mind map
Mind map is an important activity for an individual as it is the diagram which he/she
built in their mind for their particular topic. It is a diagram which is used for the purpose of
visually organize the whole information into a systematic, hierarchy, and also able to show
relationships among pieces of whole (Siddik and Satheesh, 2021). As we already discuss the
recruitment material theme. Now there are some steps discussed below which assists in
making the mind map and able to find the ways for maintaining sustainability:
Thoughts about the theme: The theme of sustainability is recruitment material which
discusses some important materials for the recruitment such as documents,
advertising, letters, etc. For the recruitment process, it is important that these

documents should possess the individual and the company. It will create problems for
the environment as it increases waste and pollution. So this thing is focusing on the
ways which help to reduce the waste. That's why I am focusing on the identification
and analysis of all recruitment strategies so that I am able to find the right solution.
In this project, there are some keywords which I found are sustainability, recruitment,
recruitment materials, advertising, letters, digital technology, social media, etc.
Project key words: These keywords are found to be very important because it helps
me to make a good idea. For example, the keyword identified in this theme is a
digital technology which is found to be one of the important solutions for maintaining
sustainability (Aiello, 2021). That means when an organisation is using digital media
and technology then it will automatically reduce the use of paper works and other
waste. That's why these keyboards are very important and I am trying to analyse each
keyword in detail so that I find any clue.
Critical discussion of key words: This information will be very helpful for me in
order to create an image that how I will find ways for sustainability in recruitment
material. With the help of information from digital technology, I found that social
media is increasing at a rapid rate and it is very cheap for advertising.
Use of information to creative outcome: It also reduces environmental pollution so in
this way, information will be very helpful in order to make a creative outcome.
Advantages of idea: With the help of the idea, I am able to suggest to the organisation
how they can reduce waste and also maintain sustainability.
Disadvantage of idea: The disadvantage of the idea is it will not take seriously in
organisations because of no legal factors.

Primary Research
The primary resources are important for taking a viewpoint of employees and
customers about the sustainability of recruitment material. They will guide better in this
process because they have a lot of experience in working in this area. Primary research is
held with the use of a questionnaire.
Questionnaire:
What do you know about the concept of sustainability?
Is it important for organisations to know the use of sustainability?
What are the actions that are taken by organisations in the current situation?
Is any requirement of awareness for sustainability in recruitment material?
Secondary Research
From the analysis of different websites and magazines, it is analysed that generally,
organisations are ignoring the importance of sustainability in recruitment material. That's
why it becomes very important to show the importance and use of sustainability (Aiello,
2018). There are some organisations available which are understanding the importance of
sustainability even in recruitment material.

Design development
After analysis of both primary and secondary research, we are concluded and make a
final design. It is concluded that organisation needs to use more technology in this area
(Sheridan and et.al, 2020). That's why we have developed a software application which helps
to advertise on social media and reduces the paperwork in terms of the documents of the
candidates. So we conclude that we will develop application software for the recruitment
purpose of the organisation.
Evaluation report
I felt very positive about developing this idea. It was a great opportunity to detail
discuss this theme because generally, I found that no one gives focuses on the recruitment
material that can be sustainable also. This is the main reason that I focused on the
development of ideas which helps to show how sustainability is related to the recruitment
material. I can better explain with the help of an example. In my experience, there was an
incident where I need to give a demo of my idea. So I used an example of advertising that
how organisations waste in the advertising which creates sustainability issues. Sustainability
is not only related to the safety of the environment and pollution as it is more about that.
Sustainability is the way of working which reduces resources and increases productivity. That
means that individual should perform their duty with maximum productivity and optimum
use of resources (Mat Isa, 2020). It is necessary to understand for each individual that
resources are very limited. That means we need to reduce our waste even in advertising and
other related recruitment material.
For more evaluation of my own experience, there are some points which are discussed
below that help me to evaluate more effectively.
Success: In the main experience of developing an idea, I found success in each and
every stage because every level is very important for me and that's why I give my best
to find out the more effective ideas. At each and every level, I learn something so
that's why I felt that it is my success that I am able to develop a good idea.
Challenges: It is very obvious that this process is not easy because there are many
areas in which I faced a tough challenges. Firstly I was very nervous in the primary
research because there are people who are not ready to give any information and are
even not able to share their viewpoints. So convincing them was very tough for me.
On the other hand, I used to do extensive research which I give most of the time.
Document Page
Sometimes I felt that I was wasting my time and because of it, my confidence is also
impacted. There are many peoples are available in the market who are always ready to
provide negative vibes to me so that I will not able to achieve my outcome.
Weaknesses: As I already discussed my challenges but I felt that it was because of my
weaknesses. I analysed that I am not good at communication. When I did
communicate with other employees in terms of primary research so I was not able to
explain my theme in detail which results in a reduction of interest in the employees.
So this is one of my weaknesses which I need to be improved.
Strengths: I am very happy to share my strength because I feel that my strength or
only the way to my success (Bear, et.al., 2021). There are many situations come and
go where I felt very negative but because of my confidence and positive thinking, I
got in success and was also able to face all the challenges.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the above discussion that sustainability is an important issue
in today's world but the organisation should need to take the right actions in terms of
sustainability. Every day the problems related to sustainability are continuously increasing
because of not being active in this process. This report included an important theme which
was recruitment material. It is important to know that recruitment is playing a crucial role in
the organisation and it included many materials which increase the sustainability issue. That's
why this report discussed a portfolio and self-evaluation of an experience.
