Social media is the important aspect of the new technology which is being used in the recent

organizations and for that, it is required that proper understanding of it is obtained and the

benefits which will be received by the company due to this (Higgins, et. al., 2012). There are

various roles which are played by it in the company and for that, they will be taken into

consideration. It acts as a tool for various actions which are performed in the company and they

are explained below:

As a tool for marketing:

In the company, it is required that there shall be proper marketing which is made in relation to

the products and services which are being offered by it. This is necessary as then only it will be

possible to make people aware of the products which are already present and also the ones which

are recently launched. In that, the features will also be provided so that the consumers can make

the proper selection of the goods which are to be bought by them. Social media will be acting as

the main tool in this process as in the new era the use of social media among the generation is

increasing (Alves, et. al., 2016). The youth is using the various social media sites and so it

becomes easier to reach a large share of the market through the use of social media. In this most

commonly used are Facebook, Instagram, and various other social interaction sites. The

company will be displaying its products with all the details on these sites and by that the

marketing will be made as people will see it there and the children will then be telling about the

same to all others. In this manner, there will be marketing on large scale as the large market will

be targeted with the help of this.

The changes if any which are made in any aspect of the business and the products will be

published on these sites so that they can be made available to all (Husain, et. al., 2016). The

marketing will be made in a stronger manner as the social media will be going to reach the large

customer base which is using the sources.

In the performance of the operations, it is required that there shall be proper information which is

(Westerman, et. al., 2014). There can be various sources which can be used for this such as the

survey can be carried out on the social media by which the required information will be obtained.

There are several polls which are performed on the Facebook and Twitter by which the company

will be able to have the required feedback. The new products can be tested by this and also the

requirements and preferences of the consumers will be determined by the use of this.

All of the main qualities which are required by the customers and their taste can be identified by

the use of the social media as there is various such information which is present on the social

sites. There are certain types of information which cannot be gathered otherwise and will be

obtained through these sites. Also, the information which will be collected from this will be

relevant as that is provided directly by the person responsible and so no modification is there in

that (Oh, 2012). The reliance can be placed on that and before launching of the new product the

perception of people can be checked in relation to that so that further decision about that can be

made and it will be launched in that manner which will be preferred by the customers so that

success of it is ensured. So this way information in all the areas will be collected with the help of

the use of social media.

As a tool for communication:

Communication is to be made in the most effective manner at all the levels of the business as this

is the key aspect by which the business will be carried in a smooth manner. There are several

such items which are to be communicated in the company and for that social media will be of

great help. This is because with the help of this large consumer base will be involved and there

will be effective transferring of the relevant information. The Facebook will be used to

communicate with the large group as there are many people who will be connected by that means

and they all will be able to participate in any communication at the same time in the best manner.

This can be carried in various manners such as data can be published on the sites by which all

media, there are various sources which are involved such as the social networking sites, blogs,

and other appraisal sites. The blogs will be providing the information about the important points

and in such a manner that they will be influencing the large scale of people. The relations are

developed on these sites as various people interact with one another and by that the company can

make the communication also with them.

The information which is related to the commercial sector is made available on various sites such

as LinkedIn on which various people can share their resumes and from there the company will be

selecting them and this way the communication will be made with more people as they will not

be required to go to office manually in order to provide the resume. By this, they will be brought

to the notice of more and more companies and this will be increasing their scope. The individual

can also interact on these sites at wide scope as they can start their own page and communicate

their views and ideas through that to all (Talpau, 2014). They will be read by all and this way the

communication will be made among all and the ones interested will be responding to the same.

The company will also be using this and with the help of this, they can communicate in an

effective manner with their clients and consumers at the same time. This will be making the

process easier as now the need to personally communicate with each party is eliminated and the

time will be saved by this. The information which is to be provided to all will be published and
