Introduction
For the growth and success of an organization, communication plays vital role. Thus,
communication is considered as the effective element for the integral to the business. The role of
communication at workplaces has not been limited as the tool for sharing information; it has
evolved to the stakeholder management, customer relationship management, advertisement, and
employee engagement in the organizational functionalities. With regards to this, it can be said
that the companies have identified the significance of communication and they are consistently
striving towards creating an effective atmosphere for efficient communication in the business
(Hargie, 2016).
This is a proposal for the report of significance of effective business communication at
workplaces. This proposal will be followed by the report on the e-commerce giant Amazon Inc.
This organization is consistently growing and behind their consistent growth and development,
digital strategies have a significant role. With the help of digital solutions, organization has been
able to engage their employees as well as customers.
Background
Traditional communication tools were not efficient in comparison to the recent communication
tools. In relation to this, leaders and the managers are continuously seeking for adaptation of new
and innovative communication tools to enhance organizational performance. Founder of Amazon
Inc. Jeff Bezos once dreamt for selling everything over internet and he started his dream store by
selling books over internet platform but today, it has become “The Everything Store”. Growth of
social media and in the other communication tools is proved as the essential element for evolving
the functionalities of the business enterprises.
Context
The context of this proposal is based on the behemoth player of e-commerce industry i.e.
Amazon. The company was founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994. Currently, organization has set up its
presence in more than 188 countries with its offices in more than 12 countries in the globe.
Communication tools have played primary role in the success and growth of the organization.

Along with this, organization has been able to maintain a huge workforce of more than 100,000
employees in the worldwide locations (Pearson, 2017).
Proposal
Approximately half of the total population across the globe is using internet and this is the
biggest reason due to which utility of digital communications in the business have been
increased. With regards to this, report will be prepared to analyse the efficacy of the
communication tools used by the organization. Being a multinational corporation, organization
needs to face various issues and challenges and it is very crucial for an organization to deal with
those challenges through appropriate mediums in order to gain positive outcomes. The report
will include the strategy which could be adopted by the organization in order to gain competitive
advantage along with enhancing the overall communication system at Amazon Inc. (Sadia,
Salleh, Kadir & Sanif, 2016).
The role of the report will be to analyse the role of digital communication in the growth of the
businesses in current business environment. Along with this, the report will also focus over
determining the factors through which communication could be improved (Wang, Pauleen &
Zhang, 2016).
