INTRODUCTION
In the today's time, every business organisation required effective growth and success in
the competitive business environment. In order to compete with rival, business unit develop
several kinds of the strategies and tactics. In this manner, digital technology is one of the most
crucial resource which assist in boost up the performance and growth of the business. In every
business unit, technology requires in various departments such as marketing, human resource,
finance, operation and production. With help of digital platforms like computers, laptops, Wi-Fi,
internet social media etc, business entity can speed up its procedure of business. In the present
research project, the major aim is to understand the role of digital platform in boosting up the
growth of small business enterprise with respect of Charlotte hotel. For attain this objective,
researcher have conducted survey for primary data collection and applied qualitative research
technique

For sustain in the competitive business environment for long time, firm required such
effective techniques and strategy that help in boosting up the growth and performance of
organisation. In this manner, digital techniques is that platform which includes all electronics
such as computer, software, internet, social media etc. With help of all these equipments,
business enterprise can enhance the speed of operation and save the additional time. In the
current research investigation, researcher has conducted the study for understand the role of
digital platform in boosting up the performance of small business enterprise with respect of
Charlotte hotel.

P 2 Project management plan
The purpose of the project management plan is to provide suggestion to the project
manager in Charlotte Hotel and assist them in formulating effective strategies or policies for
managing different types of projects. Project plan will assist manager in analysing the need of
various resources and analysing the effective source for fulfilling the requirement of project.
Project plan helps project manager in managing and ensuring the effective as well as efficient
utilisation of resources in project. The project manager in Charlotte Hotel need to emphasize on
various aspects when formulating effective project management plan these are:
Time- It is very essential for manager to set small target and establish time of completion of the
activity. This action or strategies will help manager in completing project on time and ensuring
desired outcome. As it may difficult for project manager to emphasizes on all activities or task
due to lack of time. Considering the time factor is essential as it may have great effect on the
quality of research. The Gantt chart or Work break down structure can be adopted by researcher
as this will allow them to divide or categorise their work on the basis of priority. Further , the
time saved can be used to monitor or evaluating the effectiveness of research and ensuring
desired or effective outcome. This activity will allow researcher to complete each task on time
and in systematic manner (Zumitzavan and Michie, 2015.)
Cost- It is the significant resource that without which the research can not be conducted. As the
researcher may have to face difficulty in facilitating various procedures and activities in
systematic manner due to lack of financial resource. As the investigator may have to bear various
cost as well as incur expenses on executing various actions such as transportation , formulating
questionnaire, stationery, collection of information, internet etc.
Resource-The project manager is required to utilise several resources such as Finance, time,
technology, human resource etc. in order to complete project in successful manner (Zumitzavan,
and Michie, 2015). This resources assist investigator in accomplishing the objective of
investigation and facilitating various operation as well as activities in systematic manner.

Quality-It is very essential aspect to be consider by the researcher when executing investigation.
As maintain the standard of research and quality of operation will help investigator in making
effective as well as suitable decision. It will also allow investigator to ensure that all the

Risk-This is the major aspect that is required to be considered by researcher as it has great

Scope of the research-The research or investigation have been facilitated in order to analyse the
effect of the digital or information technology on firm. In present research the investigator has
used basically two methods that is Questionnaire and personal interview technique for collecting
data for identifying the way digital technology has supported small enterprise in facilitating
innovation and assisted business unit in fostering growth (Soni and Kodali, 2012.)

Work breakdown structure is also considered as project management tool that assist
project leader in defining or communicating as well as grouping a project discrete work element
in a manner that support manager in demonstrating the aggregate scope of activities in project.
Work break down framework is retained as well as effective structure that support
employees and manager in identifying complex as well as critical activities or procedure that has
great effect on the outcome produced. It assists human resource manager in enterprise to identify
effective ways to reduce the work load on workers (Saunders and Bezzina, 2015). Work break
down framework provides the basis according to which various big activities or task can be
categorise. It enables employees to develop understanding about their roles and responsibilities
towards projects. Work break down structure is considered as the significant or major project
deliverable that helps manager in organising team work into manageable task. It defines the way

in which various activities or task will be executed in order to achieve desired goals and
objectives.
Graph Structure is defined as the graphical representation of the series according to
which the various activities in project would be executed. This framework allows workers to get
the detail about the task or work that are required to be facilitated by them. It helps organisation

conducting detailed examination before making changes in procedure or system. It also aids
manager in arranging the series of activities. This framework provides workers or other
stakeholder those who are involved in the procedure to develop the understanding about the
project, analyse its importance. It also provides employees an advantage to explore as well as
capture opportunities associated with execution of the project and implementation of technology
at workplace.
Gantt Chart is the other effective framework that can be utilise by project manager for
formulating suitable plan or strategies to complete project on time and in systematic manner.
This plan or strategies support manager in ensuring successful completion of project and
producing desired outcome. It also aids people those who have the responsibility of completing
task to eliminate delay and maintaining work standards (Edward, 2000). If in case any of the
activities are not executed in systematic manner then it may have great effect on the results. This
structure allows manager and other people who are associated with project to identifying the core
activities, as this will assist them in ensuring effective outcome. Gantt Chart can al;so be used by
project manager in measuring the performance and contribution of stakeholder in successful
completion of the project. It has focus on analysing the sequence of task and completion time of
the each activity in project (Saunders and Bezzina, 2015)

Research methodology is referred to as systematic plan that has been designed by the
investigator for conducting research in systematic manner. This is the effective tool that can be
adopted by investigator for collecting, interpreting and analysing of data in order to achieve
desired goals or objectives. Research methodology assist researcher in making effective as well
as suitable decisions. The several techniques such as survey, interview, questionnaire can be
used for collecting data. In present investigation there has been several techniques has been
adopted by researcher these are:
Belief related to Research -The research philosophies is the effective tool that can be utilize by
scholar for analysing data in systematic manner. Interventionism and Positivism are mainly the

two types of research belief (Abdillah, 2014). Present research is based on Positivism philosophy
for analysing the impact of digital technology non enterprise operating on small scale.
Research Concepts-This approach or concept assist scholar in identifying and emphasizing on
the objective of investigation. Deductive and inductive are the two form of research concept. The
deductive approach has been adopted and applied by research in order to analyse the way digital
technology help small firm in facilitating innovation and fostering growth.
Research plan- Explanatory, descriptive, exploratory are the some research design that can assist
scholar in collecting, analysing and interpreting data (Bilbao-Osorio, Dutta and Lanvin, 2013). In
present investigation the scholar has used the descriptive design in order to explain the impact of
digital technology on small business enterprise.
Research method- There are two types of technique such qualitative and quantitative method.
Selection of this technique is based on the subject or field on which research is conducted. As
present investigation is related to analysing the way impact of digital technology on small
organisation therefore the scholar has used qualitative technique.
Data accumulation- The Researcher has use both primary ans well as secondary sources of data
collection method. The investigator has appointed the person for taking interview of 25 persons
those who are working in Charlotte Hotel to collect the data related to the implication of digital
technology at workplace.
Sampling-The 25 workers has been selected randomly who are working in Charlotte Hotel.
These people are selected in order to collect primary source of information (Johnson and
Christensen,2010.)

From this above study it has been ascertained that Charlotte hotel performance and
growth has been boosted up by implementation of digital platforms and technologies. In the cited
venture, digital platform mostly used in the marketing department as marketing manager use the
social media in order to promote and advertise product and services in the market. It has been
also concluded from the report that Charlotte hotel have faced major issue related to requirement
of training and development for implementation of digital technology (Borghoff and Pareschi,
2013). With help of various digital platforms like social media, web page etc company can easily
attract its customers and take their views and feedback about the product and services. Thus, it

By this entire research study, I have learnt lots of new things and skills such as time
management skill, communication, skill, interaction skill, analytical and interpretation skill etc.
In this current study, I have conducted survey for primary data collection from respondents so by
this activity my interpretation and analytical skill have been improved because in this survey I
have communicated and interacted with various respondents. The major thing I have learnt from
this study is about digital technology and its importance within the business enterprise. I have
learnt that at the time of digital technology, company may face the issue related to requirement
of training and development, lack of proper knowledge, cost requirement etc.
