INTRODUCTION
The use of Digital technology is increasing in each and every field and has great impact
on the life of humans. In the era of globalisation and modernisation, digitalisation technology has
begun to eat the world. The impact of digitalization is not only limited to business but it affects
the entire economic growth of country as well as productivity. Digital technology plays a vital
role in development and growth of company. Digital technology is very crucial in the life of
human. With the help of digital technology, all the departments of organisation get benefited.
The present research project is in the context with Continental Consulting Limited, United
Kingdom. Furthermore, the present research project has the fundamental aim to understand the
impact of digital technology (Hussain and Dimple, 2018). Moreover, this report also includes
aims and objectives, project management plan, small scale research, collection of data from
questionnaire, analysis and interpretation will also include in this project work.

P1 Aim and objectives of the project report.
Background of the study
The main purpose of Project management is to predict and foresee as many dangers and
issues are possible and to plan, organise and control activities so that project is completed
successfully. The project management plan also aids in developing each activities of business in
a systematic manner that it minimizes the risk as well as it also helps in supporting entire growth
and development of business in very effective way. Project management plan is developing in
order to plan, control and coordinate the modern and complex activities of business. This present
project is for the assessment of Continental Consulting Limited, United Kingdom which is
Research and Business Consultancy company. The CEO of this company is Mario Bindas. The
main work of this company is Business Process Re-engineering and potential consumers that
includes small and medium manufacturing organisation. Small and medium company is only in
London and Greater London. There are team of 22 experts from whom Mario is working.
These experts are researcher and consultants (Carnall, 2018). This company was set up 8
years ago and at that time company was famous in providing IT facilities but with the passage of
time, company's products and services become outdated and old with the advancement of

innovation. Company is largely affected by the impact of digital technology that result in
company needs to implement digital technology in within their functions and operations. Thus,
company is moving on the digitalisation. The whole project is related with the implication of
digital technology. In order to achieve desired goals and objectives, as well as to retain in
market, it is very important to use or implement digital technology within organisation to make
the work effective and perfect.

The purpose of project management plan is to provide suggestions to manager of
Continental Consulting Limited company as well as help them in formulating effective policies
and strategies in order to control and manage different types of project. It is the duty of project
manager to develop a proper plan of project management. Project manager can effectual use the
resources in the execution of the project within specified cots, time etc. Project manager of
Continental Consulting Limited is required to focus on various aspects while formulating project
management plan-
Time- Time is the one of the significant factor in conducting as well as in executing
research project. Researcher has to set a schedule for each activities. Researcher face many
issues due to lack of time. Researcher will use Gantt chart method to overcome the difficulties of
lack of time (Hameed, and et.al., 2016).

Cost- This is also one of the significant task in completing the project as because
researcher has to consider each and every aspect of cost while conducting research. There are
various activities like transportation, printing, internet charge etc. These all activities are
increases the cost. Thus, it is very difficult for research to carry all these activities in insufficient
fund.
Quality- This is another most important aspects of making research project successful
and effective. Time is also considered in this factor as because it is very essential that research
should be completed in a time. Researcher can evaluate the appropriate decisions by maintaining
standard of quality (Lu, Plewa and Ho, 2016).
Risk- Risk is also one of the most essential and critical factor in conducting research.
Risk affects the study as well as result of research. The leading risk is affiliated with plagiarism
so that researcher should convert all secondary information in own words by which chances of
plagiarism can minimize.
Scope- The scope of research is very broad as because its main is to make understand the
impact of digital technology within organisation. This research project also makes understand the

It is very important to conduct research properly in order to collect relevant data and
information related to the research subject or topic. Research methodologies is an idea used to
analysis the problem and methods to identify issues related to the topic. There are various kinds
of techniques and methods to identify answers to various questions and collect information
effectively. Here are some techniques of research methodologies are as follows-
Research Philosophy- In order to achieve the desire goals and objectives of research in a
systematic manner, researcher will make use of effective design. To obtain the most effective
results. It is very important that researcher should use the best and suitable tools and equipment’s
to ascertain the best outcome. There are two types of research philosophies, positivism and
interpretivism. The strategy that furnish effectual consideration of reliability in the research
study is known as Positivism research philosophies.
In this research philosophies observations are repeatable. In this research project,
researcher will use positivism research philosophy to find out the impact of digital technology on

to direct the examination of research. There are different types of strategies and techniques that
are connected with various types of research topic. Survey, interview, seminars are included in
research strategies to assemble the information or data related to the topic of research. There are
various types of strategies like subjective, survey, forecasting research. In this present research
work, researcher will conduct survey with the help of preparation of questionnaire. It is
quantitative method of research.
Research Technique- The research technique means the plan and process for conducting
research effectively which helps to make steps from broad assumptions for collecting data or
information in detailed as well as analysis and interpretation. There are three types of techniques
of research that are majorly used by the researcher are as quantitative, qualitative and mixed
method of research.
Quantitative research is used by the researcher in this research project. It is a method that
help researcher in testing the aims and objectives of topic by identifying the relations in between
variables. In order to obtain numerical data, these variables are measured on various tools and
equipment.
Data Collection- Data collection is the most essential section of research topic. It is main
element of research study. There are two types methods for collecting data which are primary
and secondary. Researcher will use both types of data for collecting information to make
research effective. Primary method of collecting data is when researcher collect information
from himself. It is the information which are unused and which are directly acquire by from the
source of data which are surveys, interview, etc.
On the other hand, secondary data are the data which are collected from other sources.
Information collected from secondary sources are used by many people. Examples of secondary
data are books and journals, articles, magazines etc. Primary data are more realistic than
secondary data. In this present research, researcher will collect from both the sources to collect
the information regarding the impact of digital technology of company.
Sampling- Sampling is a process that are used to collect information that includes
different types of test from group of people and which have actual focus on collection and
effectual arrangement or planning of data that help researcher in evaluating effective result or

outcomes. Further, sampling is divided into further various groups such as inspection of group,
multistage examination etc. In this present research study, researcher will use basic method of
sampling for collecting data to make research successful and reliable. Researcher will collect
data from 25 employees of Continental Consulting Limited by preparing questionnaire. It is type
of primary collection of data in which employees answer the question.
Research Approach- The research approach is also one of the essential part in research
study as because it helps researcher in determining the objectives and aims of research study and
also find out impelling result. There are two types of research approach which are inductive and
deductive approach. When researcher allow using hypothesis than it is known as inductive
approach. On the other hand, when theories or models are confined by agents are known as
deductive approach. In this research study, researcher will allow deductive research approach to
find out the impact of digital technology within Continental Consulting Limited company
(O'Brien and Saldanha, 2014).
Research limitations- In research project there are some limitations which cannot be
able to handle or manage by researcher. There are different types of limitations that can arise in
the study of research are lack of experience in the area of research, preparation aims and
objectives of research, implementation of collection of data by various methods and techniques.
Ethical Considerations- In conducting research study, there are some norms or
standards which is to be obey or followed by research to make the research successful and
realistic. Norms or standard which researcher has to follow while collecting data are, data should
not be harm, it should be informed consent and data or information that has been collected
should be keep secured and private it should not be leaked until and unless the consent is given.
Norms and standard are the things which make difference in what is good or bad (McGregor and
et.al., 2018).

Interpretation- While the question has been asked in the survey from 25 employees of
the then it has been found that Continental Consulting Limited company, about 12 employees are
working for less than one year, it can be seen because of decrease in the productivity and profit
of company major employees left the company. 7 employees are working in the company less
than 5 years and about 4 employees are working more than five years but less than 8 years.
Beside this, 2 employees are new joiners.
